IC Hotels Santai Family Resort - Kids Concept

I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with my recent stay at this so-called 5-star hotel in Antalya - IC Santai Family resort. It’s a shame that a hotel of this caliber resorts to misleading and scamming its guests. I booked a swim-up villa specifically because my 71-year-old father, who has recently undergone surgery and struggles with mobility, needed easy access to the pool. Instead, we were given a room on the first floor of a two-floor apartment block—far from what was advertised as a "villa."

The hotel should make it clear to potential guests that these so-called "villas" are actually apartment blocks and that ground-floor accommodation is not guaranteed. When I raised this issue with the reception, they told me there was no guarantee of getting a ground-floor room and that all the villas were fully booked. They advised me to check availability every day, but each day, I was met with the same unhelpful response, all while I noticed other guests checking out of ground-floor rooms. The hotel could have offered a solution, but they simply chose not to cooperate. As a result, my father was only able to go down to the pool twice during our entire week-long stay. Our holiday was ruined.

To make matters worse, the hotel is full of aggressive traders who constantly harass you to buy their overpriced goods and services:

1) *The fur shop*: There are two staff members—one who stops you on your way to the restaurant every time you pass by, and another who approaches you on the beach or by the pool, offering a free taxi to their factory. If you go, they pressure you to buy something.

2) *The spa center*: The trader here won't leave you alone on the beach, in the café, or by the pool, pressuring you to use their overpriced services. If you go even once, the manager will hound you, insisting that you and your family have serious health issues and need daily treatments.

3) *Water sports*: They catch you everywhere, trying to force you into buying their overpriced activities, like a trip to the fountains for 80 euros per person when you can get the same tour for 20 euros elsewhere.

Instead of a relaxing vacation, we were subjected to constant harassment, with everyone trying to take advantage by selling overpriced services we didn’t need. Saying "no" doesn’t work—they just come back the next day as if nothing happened.

Adding to the frustration, housekeeping was practically non-existent unless you called the reception after 4-5 pm to request service. Even then, they only showed up after multiple calls. They would clean the room but constantly "forget" to replenish basic toiletries like shampoo and body wash, leaving us to beg for them.

This hotel is a disgrace and certainly not worthy of its 5-star rating. I would never recommend it to anyone looking for a stress-free and enjoyable holiday.

As my conclusion, this hotel is OK but I would say it’s far too low level to said as 5 stars hotel as written on google map.
I stayed main building on the middle level floor with land view. The terrible thing was bats were coming to our balcony every night and there were a lot of droppings left on the floor of balcony every morning. As many of you know, dropping from bats possibly causes disease, especially for children and elderly people. Therefore I needed to say again and again to my daughter not to go out to the balcony. I strongly believe the hotel should not regard themselves “Child friendly hotel” until they manage this problem. It was truly a nightmare. The staff in HI kids were so nice, but still I can’t recommend here for my family and friends.
In addition to above, the room was looks nice (of course except the balcony), but a bathroom was not clean enough. The bathtub was not even flat surface, cracked paint let my daughter’s leg hurt. And look at a shower head holder in my photo, this is what I said, it’s fine but it’s not 4 or 5 stars hotels like.
Besides, some parents were smoking around kids pool where banned smoking, but life savers never got them.
This hotel let cats in even in restaurants, and let them walk freely among guests legs. I easily can guess it’s not good for hygiene.
I really hates someone harm my daughter’s health, so I will never come back here.

Foods were also not bad, but my 3 year old had to choose either dried tasteless vegetables and deep fried things or spicy and too much herb meal for adults.
And I heard people complain about an orange juice that they provided is not flesh juice.
A few staff can speak English, and I don’t know if it was regarding it or not, but when I asked a front desk if they can rent a nail clipper, a woman said “Sure, I’ll let someone bring it to your room.” and I was waiting all day long, it didn’t come. I asked again on the next day, another woman said “We don’t have it.” I didn’t get it at all.
We were so so sad that indoor pool couldn’t be used without notifying anything in advance.

If you don’t care about these, you’re children can make wonderful memories at here, like my daughter did.
There are a lot of programs but you can find it only if you go to kids room directly, so please find it from my photo. My girl really wanted to make cookies but we found it only after it had already gone.

BUT the late dinner will help you a lot if you arrive the hotel in the midnight.
