Adelmar Hotel Sisli

We stayed at this hotel 4 nights in june 2025 for second time. 8 years ago we were at adelmar and everything was good. But this time we were so disappointed. The room was so noisy. I requested of 2 different reception to change our room but no one care. Responses were : Our rooms are fully occupied, you are at 5 floor and like this. Breakfast was so limited. Because of war between israel and iran, our flight was canceled, we checked out and change our hotel. I think management needs to take urgent actions to change employees and facilities at this hotel if they want to don’t lose their income and passengers.

Terrible experience with the staff at the hotel. I have stayed in about 8 hotels in Sisli in the last 5 years and this was the worst. One of the senior waiters in the restaurant CLEARLY does not know anything about hospitality. Ever since the first day, he has been staring me down and looking me awful glares, grunts and makes comments all the time. The younger ones are much more polite and inviting, but most of the staff stares and then throws a side comment to another in the most indiscrete manner. I don't really care unless it really evolves to something more complex.

I must clear out that I have some face tattoos and bleached hair, and wear all black, fully covered. Nonetheless I am in the capital of a very developed city and this has been my 7th trip to Istanbul. Never have I felt such level of scrutiny and above all terms, in the " 4-star hotel" I am staying at in the middle of one of the more cosmo areas of the city.

Today, for breakfast, I arrive at 9.50 am and start having breakfast (it runs till 10.30). At 10.10 exact, I realize they almost ran out of fruit and I request the only waiter here, the senior one if they could possibly have one more orange? He starts grunting and speaking to me aggressively in Turkish and pointing at his watch. There are still 20 minutes left of breakfast and I am literally asking for 1 fruit. This man evidently has been looking for an excuse to bash at me.

I wouldn't take it so I of course went to the other waiter and pointed out his behaaviour. I must admit it would be great to see a woman or two in the staff. Ever since the entrance, I have been seeing nothing but male staff. This place needs to be guided with more up-to-date vision and with some balance of tradition and overtness to tourism: just like the rest of the city has.

So disappointed. Worst service I encountered in Istanbul in the hotel scheme.
