Anemon Bakırköy Mini-hotel

Pros:

The wifi is good, and is easy to connect to. The tv works well and has good English channels.

The hotel is on a shopping street with lots going on - restaurants, shops, lots of people etc. 2mins walk to Carrefour supermarket.

The breakfast is good - nice & light, with great coffee & tea. Great staff on breakfast.

The staff are very helpful (with exception of one man on last night).

Cons:
I woke up this morning and the room smells like sewerage/sulphur! This is being looked at today and the drains cleaned to remove the smell.

The bed sheets are too small for the bed and the blankets don’t cover two people (the duvet is just a cover - it’s not very thick at all).

Last night I requested an extra blanket from the reception and was told I have to wait until tomorrow when housekeeping arrive. He told me to go away until tomorrow. I asked for the manager and he quickly gave me a blanket straight away and was very helpful. The manager has been very helpful.

The aircon is fixed on 20degrees (or somewhere there abouts). The temperature can’t be changed. The staff are bringing a duvet today to keep warm with aircon on (it’s too hot with no aircon in middle of summer).

The rooms are we have are quite small and we didn’t get a room a balcony (would recommend for extra space!). But they are tastefully decorated and nice and clean.

It’s not really a place for kids as there’s not a huge amount of space in the rooms.

Overall:

It’s a good cheap hotel. You get what you pay for and overall the value matches the quality.
