If you’re reading this review, consider it your warning to cancel your booking immediately to avoid wasting your money, time, and comfort.

All the positive reviews you see are either mistakenly written for Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai or are fake because this place grossly misrepresents itself online.

Here’s what happens: they book you into a hotel, then claim they have no rooms available in that building but have rooms in another nearby hotel. They won’t show you this alternative until you agree to stay there. And, even the main property by itself is nothing like the one shown online.

We consider ourselves lucky to have walked away on the day of booking when refused to be shown the alternative room, bcoz only god alone knows what those extremely rude people were capable of doing.

If you are traveling with your family, be warned—the place looks extremely shady. The staff are not only rude but also quite creepy. Save yourself from a terrible experience and avoid this place at all costs.

Scam alert! The Atlantis Royal Hotel in Istanbul engages in deceptive practices. Upon our arrival at 7 PM, the staff informed us that our booked rooms were unavailable. Instead, they offered an unspecified room at another property owned by the same owner. When we requested details, they refused to provide them or let us speak to the hotel manager. They even denied our request to contact the tourism police. Ultimately, they pushed us out with our baby and elderly mother, leaving us without a clear cancellation option. This pattern seems designed to force tourists into accepting whatever they offer.

The management is unethical and lacks courtesy.

very bad experience here, booked this hotel but receptionist offer me another hotel nearby… i book a big room with double bed and a sofa bed room but they give me a very small room with double bed only… i no space to put my laggage and have cockroach in the room.Also, room don’t have kittle,mineral water and table… i need to get the water from reception. expensive and very disappointed

Apart from the fact that it is in the heart of the old city and very close to everything that you can reach on foot, everything else was a complete negligence.

The hotel is way overpriced for what it offers...

It is advertised as a hotel with a car park , but you should read the small text to the very end and see that they are advertising car park that you have to pay extra.
You realize that when you drive a 1000 km and need to park and rest and there is no parking ... parking in most of all little private "otopark" places was about 200 - 300 liras ( about 7-10 € per day), but even though I made a call directly to them and also through Agoda booking (which horrible sucks also, I have closed my account after so many bed expenses with them ... I am done with them, too) the hotel never answered to their polite request to help us out with parking, and finally, we were overcharged for it, 20€ per day to put my car parked after hotels guy help... he said he can't do much it's not their parking so, take it or leave it... after an argument with him and some negotiation with parking guys, i managed to pay a 100€ for 6 days .. I was tired and wanted just to rest after 10h drive ..
this is not the end ...
The story just begins...
We couldn't manage early check-in also ( room not clean ), ok ... we went to eat something and have coffee and we came back an hour after check-in time and the guy pretend that he doesn't know who we are and he need to check if the room is rady or not ... BTW the room was just behind his back, after the room was ready and we finally got in ... bathroom was partially cleaned, and 1/4 of toalet paper was left to us .. I politely asked for more paper, and he was asking questions, but finally gave us a stupid toalet paper ...
Bed sheets were with lots of stains and looked like some blood stains or something.. I have asked them to give us clean bed sheets and again inspection and nodding the head they gave us cleaner once ..
The room has only one power outlet next to the bed .. other one is next to the door ..
Safe didn't work, and after a little discussion, they managed to fix it, but not until the next day ..
Finally, the night came, after midnight, and some other guests, either next door or above us, were so loud, making noise screaming, and it took 30 min for personnel to react and check what was going on... Guest was chasing a mouse in his room ... while the others were talking over the phone so loud at 45 min after midnight..
Over all very bed experience... stuff pretending to be friendly but all fake and very bad politeness acting ...
I'm not recommending staying at this hotel if something doesn't drastically change !!!!

The worst experience ever in Istanbul, I don't recommend it for anyone.
Room looks good on photos however we couldn't breath.
Staff wise, there is a lack of attitude and communication , they are not clear, there was a noise over night with guests in reception, no control from night guy, not considering that a guest is sleeping on the next door. In the morning I realized that my booking was cancelled on booking app as I paid on cash because there was a technical error to accept my card. I struggled with the staff to print an invoice for me as a proof that I stayed in hotel, they tried to delay that but I insisted to have it before I leave. While I was speaking to them other guests were complaining .
Thank God it was one night ...

I left my watch on my bedside table and the next day it had disappeared. Asked the hotel employees if they could help but they said the cleaning staff had not cleaned my room. This was a lie as our room had clearly been reorganised everyday. Disappointed because I was fine with the hotel otherwise - if you do use this hotel, use the safe or do not leave valuables in hotel
