We had a super stay. It is a lovely pretty little hotel set in a colourful street with similar hotels and some lovely restaurants. The street is bustling by day but very peaceful at night. Our room was tiny but then we booked a budget holiday so it was fine. There are larger rooms with views if you wish. Breakfasts were in a lovely bright room with outdoor seating and a great selection of mainly cold foods and lovely freshly baked bread. We had an excellent meal in the top floor restaurant with a great view. The service was lovely and very good prices, comparable to local restaurants which is unusual. The hotel is perfect for visiting the local area with the main historical attractions within a ten minute walk. The staff were excellent. So friendly, helpful and chatty. Thank you to you all.

Great hotel in a very good location, we had a lovely view of the sea from our room. Room was pleasant and well maintained and cleaned daily, staff were polite and helpful.

I stayed here in February 2024 in room 201.
The room is immediately adjacent to the staircase which also leads up to the hotel's restaurant (with stunning views of the Bosphorous but breakfast is served on the lower ground floor).
Rooms are well proportioned and have comfortable facilities. The hotel is located on a side street on the hillside between the Bosphorous and the major mosques of the area.
Unfortunately the hotel restaurant has entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights and the noise from that is easily heard in 201.
The reception staff are exceptional and definitely provide excellent service and are informative.
I'm sure I would have enjoyed my stay more in a room away from the staircase (groups of guests returning to their rooms often had conversations which disturbed me). The breakfast room staff don't particularly engage with guests. This is definitely a hotel which gains much from the friendliness of its reception staff, supported by its location within easy walking distance of a number of major sights.

Even though the staff is really friendly and attentive, I didn’t really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The area is really convenient because is near to all the touristy places but because of that is full of restaurants and shops just made for that. The room was okay, but the thing that I couldn’t stand was the bathroom, the smell coming out from the drain was really bad, water leaking from the bathtub every morning, sink was really dirty. Overall, there’s a lot to improve in terms of hygiene. Buffet was okay, really basic.
On the weekends they have parties in the restaurant so it can get pretty loud.
Don’t trust the reviews, when we were checking out, management took my phone and wrote a 5-star review. I would recommend to really do your research before booking an hotel in that area.

Staff are very friendly and professional, the location is good right in the mix of restaurants and shops which is always great when travelling. The hotel itself is old, very dated, and although clean, the rooms need a lot of work. The beds mattresses were old and uncomfortable the shower doors would ofter get stuck and hard to close, it's a very dated place which requires modernisation. The breakfast was included we found that very basic choices, no real hot food selection, the dishes on offer weren't labelled so not sure what's what, clean place like most places in Istanbul, surprised BA have this as one of their recommendations to be honest. Its very basic, clean and location works well

The hotel's service is unlimited, every place has been renovated, offering both nostalgic and brand-new modern ambiance. Rest assured about cleanliness; everywhere is spotless, and the staff is friendly. Special thanks to the cleaning personnel Sibel for her smile and assistance. It's a value-for-money hotel. I will definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip 🤩🤩

This hotel, I recommend 100%, please don't read the negative reviews and think otherwise... I stayed 4days at this elegant hotel and was blown away, how everything is local, and how the staff at the hotel were very polite and caring, and actually took the time to go above and beyond for myself. The room I stayed in was clean, the food was lovely! Maybe needed a little more SPICE but I think that's just the Pakistani in me, 10/10 overall definitely will be back soon! Thank you so much for the warm welcome

Good hotel and lovely breakfast. Close to many places and area was central. Hotel could do with an update with certain features but I must commend them for their hospitality. Do visit Avicenna, it was safe and I had a good time.

Very economical and good hotel to stay. Blue mosque and Aya Sofia just 5 min walk away. Breakfast was good. Did not tried their dinner.
Staff was very cooperative and smile on their face all the time.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not stay here, I’ve traveled all my life and I’ve never come across a hotel like this. The day staff are so rude especially a guy called Mohammed, who doesn’t know how to talk to women or in his eyes, women shouldn’t be allowed to talk. The rooms are tiny and FULL of bed bugs. I’ve also had large amount of money stolen which made me feel violated that someone went though my things. This hotel really ruined my stay in Istanbul . The hotel staff made me feel like I was racially abused because I am a black women I don’t have the right to complain or be upset over my stolen money. I also had an accident at the hotel and the guy from reception refused to get the 1st aid kit out as I was bleeding, instead he sent me to the shop and even they didn’t have bandages. This hotel should be closed down in my eyes, but I will not let it ruin a beautiful city like Istanbul.
