When people make a comment, the business immediately responds that either you asked for money, or you have never traveled, or you don't know what a big city is, or you don't know what a hotel is.
Old place, mediocre breakfast, bad WC.
EVERYONE deserves better!
They don't believe that you have chosen them, so it is normal for them to assume that you have seen nothing, you know nothing, you have not traveled.

Ok hotel, but I wouldn't stay again. Reasons
-Bed is very hard like sleeping on spring box not a mattress
-No sheet change on daily service, just towels and little cleaning beside fixing beds
-Carpet is very dirty, I wish they remove it since they don't clean very good
-Bathroom has so much calcium deposit and nasty.
-This is a smoking hotel, so B.S. they air the room since they open one window.
-Breakfast is ok, they have 4 kinds of bitter olives (I love olives, but not these), 3 kind of cheeses, but 2 are sour n unique (not for cheese lover like me), cheese rolls (good little greasy), hotdogs, boild eggs, halva, few jams, soup. Pastries (always run out). Same menu every day.
-Room view is ok but expect so much noise if you open window(it's Istanbul) and 2 bus stations next to hotel, but not super busy so no bother from them.
-Area is ok and close to metro and train station about 15 minutes walk
-Service is ok, nothing outstanding. Most will ignore you and walk by you , but couple will salute you or say something. Else expect dry and no smiling faces.

We spent 5 days at the Avlonya hotel. We have no complaints. The hotel staff is wonderful and speak English excellent. Osman, Serdar and Abdulkerim are people who will be at your disposal at any moment. The same applies to other staff. They bring some cookies and sweets for us (ikram). Bathroom are very wide and there is always hot water. The rooms are spacious and cleaned every day, and the towels are changed daily. Also, drinking water was provided every day. The hotel serves a varied breakfast. Marmaray and Metro are a 3-minute walk away, and Aksaray Metro and T1 are approximately 10 minutes away.

10/10. Lovely breakfast, great friendly staff, are always happy to help out with deliveries, making tea, even setting up the football on TV
The room was well kept, with fresh sheets, bedding, toiletries and snacks replenished daily. The location was quite busy outside, so taxis were easily found, with it being a short walk to shops and the metro as well. The only minor issue with the location was the occasional noise from the traffic, but that's Istanbul for you!

If you like to experience the old part of the city - this is your hotel! The location was perfect! You’ll be a 5 min walk from the metro station and about 10 min from the city trams. It is close to a city center.
The room has AC, comfy beds, hot water. The bed linen and the towels were changed every day. You will get what you see on the posted pictures. The price was so reasonable. You can’t beat it.
The breakfast was delicious! The menu is the same every day, but the choices are many to pick from. Coffee was strong and good!
Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful! They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. Thank you so much!
Property is clean and has a nice old time charm!

The room has AC, comfy beds, hot water. The bed linen and the towels were changed every day. You will get what you see on the posted pictures. The price was so reasonable. You can’t beat it.
The breakfast was delicious! The menu is the same every day, but the choices are many to pick from. Coffee was strong and good!

An excellent hotel with quality price , its location ( not far from the grand bazaar , shops , restaurant ) , staff very friendly and all time available and eager to help j will return in sha allah
