Baron Hotel & Spa

The hotel is located a 20-minute walk from the city center. We were originally supposed to be in Opatija, but supposedly the rooms were sold out, so they sent us to this hotel and we had to drag heavy suitcases for 300m with the owner from Montenegro claiming that the Baron is an even better hotel. Apart from the location, the hotel cannot boast of other aspects. The room for three adults with three single beds is too small, it is actually a room sized for two people. Reception staff disinterested and do not communicate clearly, except for some friendly staff members. The gym is a serious scam, 5x5m in size, smaller then hotel's room, as if someone just dumped the machines out of a truck, which after the first free use together with the pool and sauna, they charge 15 euros/day, which is rude. The rare things that are worth something are the sauna, which is unnecessarily luxurious, and the breakfast on the top floor, which has a nice view of the bay. Also, one of the polite staff members, a girl from Montenegro, whose name I didn't ask (my friends and I call her Young Blue) deserves a raise, one of the few cheerful people here. I would definitely not recommend this hotel.
