Wyndham Istanbul Old City

Just had a lovely 3 night stay with my wife and 2 young children. The hotel is perfectly situated for sightseeing in Istanbul. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the rooftop pool is the perfect way to cool down and relax. Every member of staff we saw was lovely and friendly. Some areas of the hotel are a little tired and could do with some maintenance work but that didn’t affect our enjoyment of it at all.

I don't understand some of the reviews. You can see from the photos that the hotel is older, and you can't expect every hotel to be renovated every year.

I got the room I booked. The service at the reception was great. I arrived very early and asked if I could check in. The receptionist checked and said that unfortunately my room wasn't ready yet. I should leave my suitcase at the reception and make myself comfortable. I went outside to get something to eat. There were plenty of options nearby. After 45 minutes, I came back and asked if it was ready – tada, my room was ready. I was able to get to my room about an hour earlier.

I didn't use many of the hotel's services, but from what I noticed in the lobby: The staff always made an effort, giving tours for guests, and not intrusively, which I was used to elsewhere.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the location.

The Hotle is amazing good locations every thing you can get around bus and train 1 minute walk nice breakfast staff very friendly specially staff called Mohamed very helpful clean and very peaceful

Nice and friendly hotel with good location

Good stay:
I've seen a few bad reviews for this hotel mostly rooms with no windows. However, I can only speak for my own experience. We booked a family room which had a nice toilet, was spacious, and had a nice design with a big window.

If you are booking this hotel I would recommend you get a room with a window to avoid disappointment. No hotel is perfect, and this hotel had its imperfections such as thin walls (so if you are a very light sleeper this isn't for you), and the building is quite old. However, the location is very good and not too far from most landmarks or places for tourists to visit. The pricing of the hotel was also quite good for what you get (such as the pool) and again the location is ideal with a tram and metro a few minutes away.

The facilities such as the swimming pool and sauna were nice but the gym and steam room was a bit run down. Breakfast was nice and they changed some menue items regularly.

My service at the hotel was very good the staff were kind and helpful when I needed something like an extra duvet or towel. From my experience room service was good and they cleaned everything nicely. If I had anything big to throw away like take away boxes I put them in front of my door and they threw it away for me.

Overall, I think for the price and location this hotel is very good, especially if you book a room with a window or upgrade the room.
