Reviews
There was a woman named Yasmin so sweet and also fluent in English which barely can be seen in Turkish people. Also there was a guy named Yasin who helped us a lot with almost everything we faced in the hotel. And there was a handsome man named Mert who was trying to welcome people who were coming to hotel in their own language.
The way they cared so much about the guests was impressive.
I liked the accessibility of the hotel to the subway and public transportation. There was 4 lines including the line which connects the European side to Asian.
Everything was excellent – cleanliness, service, location, and even the breakfast.
Special thanks to ( mert )he was very kind and helped us with everything.
Highly recommend it and I hope to come back soon.
1. The room is small.
2. The front desk have judging attitude.
3. Breakfast just bunch of sauce and plants.
On second day after shopping outside when im reaching the entrance, hotel staff quickly come to me and ask do you have reservation? with judging tone and face like asking me to go away. I told him, i stay here it is my second day. He then flip like saying oh anything i can help you with? like so awkward.
On third day, im trying to check if there is late checkout. The women at counter is smiling in judging manners and say "yes, if you can pay". Im like, sure i can pay just tell me how much. She then reply, "its 90 euro, you have to pay for the night". Well, in my mind you should know my intention, if you no late checkout just say no right? whats the point saying you have but need to pay for the night? Also what the hell with question if i can pay?
Im tourist that can afford to stay at your shoplot hotel for 3 night and also flight ticket, you should humble yourself. I dont get why people with not hospitality attitude work in hospitality.
However, i praise the cleaning team as they are very efficient and i find the place very clean.
I ended up staying at hotel near airport and only pay 30 euro. A much better service people, they even give us upgrades.
I was pretty skeptical due to some of the comments. My main concern was cleanness. I knew I wouldn't spend much time in the hotel since I left right after breakfast (7:30+) and returned late, but still.
*The room (twin beds) was clean and spacious, and the bathroom as well, all seemed clean.
*The breakfast was my favorite. There was a variety of different dishes that suited everyone's needs (in my case, Keto options ). They change it too from day to day.
*I didn't have much contact with the staff, but when I did , they were respectful and helpful.
The best part about the hotel is the location. Let me explain why: The hotel is literally no exaggeration 20 seconds from the Yenıcapı metro station. This station is basically the heart of the metro in İstanbul, if you need the European side or Asian side, you got it all in this station. I literally had 3 to 4 different appointments in both Euro and Asian side in the same day, so I had to take Yenıkapı Gebze then back to Halkalı, to Üsküdar then to my university and anywhere in the Asian side . Add to that you can take Hacıosman metro line inside Yenıkapı if you want to go, Taksim, Haliç, şişhane...and so on. So basically, easy access to all of Istanbul, which is exactly what I needed during my stay.
Few suggestions though:
* I wish the thermostat for the central cooling /heating was accessible and not fixed. It was quite cold at night but if you switch the heating its set on 28 degrees which made the room a sauna, and you can't change it from your room. So I wish you would allow guests to control their room temp.
* I would recommend water options during breakfast and more coffee options, too.
Anyway, personally, my stay was quick and pleasant. The hotel helped facilitate comfort in my stay, so I appreciate that.
I had to go down and buy more water for myself from the grocery outside the hotel.
The hotel is 50 mtrs away from the metro station, which is a big plus point.
Overall, clean rooms but very very small.
The reception area is also really small.
Breakfast buffet didn’t have too many options
