Faros Hotel Old City - Special Category

We spent a few nights at this lovely hotel which is in the perfect location to explore this area. The hotel is well equipped and all the staff were extremely helpful knowledgeable and friendly they made our stay extra special.
The hotel and rooms are very clean comfortable and well equipped, breakfast deserves a mention as there is a huge selection and choice.
Overall perfect quality and great value.

We visited Istanbul last weekend. We had a great hotel experience in the Faros Hotel. The room was very nice, clean and we enough space. We stayed in the corner of the 4th floor and we had a great view of the Sultan Ahmet square and the Bosphoreus. It is remarkable that the distance of the Faros from the Hagia Sophia wander is approx. 200m.

Cost and comfortable space. Helpful staff. Central location to tourist attractions. Close to grand bazaar. Limited choice with breakfast, however dinner experience was delicious.

Their room comfortable for our family , 3 adults and 2 kids. Good breakfast and very strategic location. Near to the hot spot location and sultanahmet station.

Their staff very polite and serve us with good manners. Definitely will come back here again.

If stay here, no beed to buy istanbul card, can get from their receptionist and return back when check out.

It was very near to all popular destinations

We had an amazing stay in this hotel. The rooms look exactly like on the pictures in Booking.com. The staff were very welcoming and absolutely lovely. The restaurant was also great with a wide selection of tasty food for both breakfast and dinner. The location is very central, with a tram line passing right in front of the hotel, yet we couldn’t hear any noise from outside in our rooms. I definitely recommend booking this place when going in Istanbul!

We had an excellent stay at Faros Hotel in Istanbul. The hotel’s central location was perfect, as it was within walking distance of the Grand Bazaar, the Blue Mosque, and conveniently close to the tram, making it easy to get around. For our accommodation needs, we required four beds in one room for our two young teenage daughters, and the room with two single beds and a queen bed worked perfectly. The room was fairly spacious and clean, providing a comfortable stay. It needed to be upgraded but that didn’t affect our stay

The bathroom was adequate, and the air conditioning worked really well, which is a priority for us when choosing accommodation. Breakfast was included and offered a wide variety of options, as shown in the pictures I posted.

There were plenty of dining options around, including a Starbucks next door, as well as McDonald’s and Hungry Jack’s nearby, which we didn’t use but were handy to have. The area was also great for shopping.

The staff members were lovely and very accommodating, which added to our positive experience. The room was clean and cleaned regularly. While there was a bit of noise at night, likely due to the central location, it’s understandable. If you’re concerned about noise, bringing earplugs might be a good idea. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel.

Very prime & convenient location. Nearby Hagia Sophia Mosque, The Blue Mosque & Basilica Cistern. Most important got tram nearby so we can go anywhere we want. The room is huge and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Their Turkish Breakfast is oh la la, super delicious.

I hope that Murat and all of the employees at the Faros Hotel in old city get recognized with this review. The personnel from the maids, the helpers, waiters and all that we delt with did an excellent job. The hotel is small and a bit old, but the staff and location more than make up for the age. The rooms were very clean and updated. We will stay here again when we return and highly recommend the hotel. Within 15 minutes of walking we visited 90% of the sights that we wanted to see including the Grand Bazaar, the spice bazaar, blue mosque, the list is endless. There is an electric train that runs right in front of the hotel if you’re unable walk far.
