Galata's Hotel

Very friendly and helpful staff. Really great people!The room is clean and comfortable but a bit small. AC available and adjustable in every room. There is an orange cat that welcomed us at the door when we first came which was super cute. She is a friendly cat and I played with her everyday🫶🏻. The location is near to the sea, and near to the tram station. Also so many restaurants nearby. I had a great experience here and it’s one of my favourite hotels in Istanbul :) I definitely recommend it :)

A hidden gem in the heart of Galata. Amazing staff who run the extra mile to welcome & assist guests to the best of their abilities. The manager was really great and friendly! All in all it’s a real ‘home away from home’ at a walking distance from major attractions! Bravo…

It’s a really good location, just note that taxis do not come into this area, so if you’ve baggage expect to walk through the neighbourhood to get to the hotel.

STAFF - they’re nice depending on whom you interact with. There are two reception gentlemen’s that are really nice and sweet (Emre & Kadir). Nonetheless, they’re very accommodating and will do whatever to make your stay feel better. If you have a situation with rooms, staff, amenities etc., the management team will address for you.

Additionally, the hotel has a strict policy that does not allow guests to have visitors in their rooms. Visitors are only permitted in the lobby or on the terrace. This restriction can be quite inconvenient, especially for those who wish to spend private time with family or friends in the comfort of their room - if you have the space.

Unfortunately, the noise disruption makes it difficult for guests to relax and get a good night's sleep. Karakoy has become the hotspot for a lot of tourist, so one should expect noise from the streets. You’re in the heart of the beating heart and all the restaurant are busy and loud. Luckily our family sleeps with white noise and it cancels out the street noise + hotel.

ROOM SERVICE - clean, modern and comfortable. There’s no cleaning services after 4pm. Nonetheless, they do a good job.

I was very satisfied with my stay. The breakfast was excellent. Special thanks go to the staff who took care of me and my colleagues on May 1st, when public transport in the city was stopped due to May Day celebrations. Without them, we would have been very stressed getting to the airport. Once again, many thanks.

Small hotel in a very good location. Close to the bazaar, cruise ships, bus and tram stations. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean, but the floors could have been cleaner and the walls needed a touch of paint. Complementary breakfast with small variety but good quality items. I would have liked some local bread with the local cheese and olives, but that’s me.
We had a problem with the shower which has a great water pressure, but floods the bathroom. We just learned to turn the water off for few minutes while scrubbing to let the water drain!
Overall a good experience…

Good location, nice hotel room, some hygien supplies was empty (only one box) and we had to ask for extra toilet paper twice. It can be noisy if you keep window open. But hotel is very nice overall and sauna with pool was 5+.

Another excellent hotel in a very cozy and comfortable location. Soon as you step out you look left and right and there’s some nice restaurants to eat. It’s also in the central area of Istanbul, the subway and ferry are close by as well. The rooms are very very clean! They’re a a bit on the small side not as spacious but it’s okay as I was traveling solo. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and will definitely be staying there again for my future visits.
