Galata's Hotel

I was really happy with my last minute booking at this hotel. It's in a wonderful location and if you're a first-time traveler to Istanbul, this is the spot you want to be. You've got a lot of food and small eateries of all different levels and classes along the waterfront as well as the Arts and more unique district areas of Taksim only a short walk away. You can also take the MRT across the water or a ferry if you'd like, and see the old quarter as well. Although the rooms were small, they were clean and I did not hear any of my neighbors. Despite it being full. The breakfast is a nice light meal, but if you're looking for something hardier you'll have to go out in the day. I highly recommend the little bakery that's attached to the lobby as they have some really good small eats

The location was great as it was close to the Galata tower with plenty of stores for shopping and eating in walking distance. I would recommend to visit again as it is a nice location for walking distance to enjoy your stay.

Great stay
Great stay at Galata's for long weekend with a friend. The spa downstairs is lovely and just what you need after a long day sightseeing. The location was absolutely fantastic, within walking distance to lovely cafes, great restaurants and bars, and super easy to walk over to Fatih (or get the tram). The staff went above and beyond. I would stay there again in a heartbeat but I would request a room on a higher floor - as another review mentioned, we were on the second floor and it was a bit noisy sometimes.

Staff were friendly and helpful and hotel is lovely, clean and modern. Wifi kept dropping so we had to re-join quite a few times. Spa and swimming pool was very nice and quiet. Location is fantastic...lots of shops and restaurants literally outside. The only bad thing was breakfast which was limited and bland. Also, we had to pay extra for a Capuccino (even though it comes from a machine) which was absolutely ridiculous. The breakfast coffee was disgusting so we had to get our coffee fix from the Coffee Factory which is literally downstairs.

Everything was wonderful. Good breakfast options, good location in walking distance to nearly all attractions, and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

My favorite hotel in Istanbul
We had such a great experience at this hotel that we extended our stay here. The location was great, very close to all types of transportation, great restaurants and nightlife but still quiet enough to enjoy. The service here was amazing. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Yilmaz and Ibrahim treated us like family and made sure they took care of everything we needed. Yilmaz had all the best restaurant recommendations, every single recommendation was an absolute hit. Also to note, they have great showers, very large with good water pressure. Another plus was that there's a separate toilet and sink and a separate shower and sink. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to come to Istanbul.

Great hotel, location, staff, and so on. The only minus is noise. I was on the 2nd floor and I could hear a restaurant on the 4th floor. But the worst part is the music from bar/restaurant in the building next door. It's loud and it played until very late. If you can live with this, it's a great hotel. I would go back. Ear plugs almost work.

It's great located, near Galata's promenade. Friendly, host staff, comfortable room, taking care of every smail detail. Great breakfast, free wifi. Walk distance from the Galatas tower, Taxim square.
