Istanbul Golden City Hotel

The room was cleaned every day and it was very clean and nice, thank you very much! The roof terrace there is very nice too, you have a great view. Only thing to complain about were the pillows , it was not comfortable, i didn't sleep well.

We have stayed one week I this hotel and it was nice time in Istanbul. Everything was perfect, clean comfortably room with quite big bathroom and conditioner. We hade clean towels and water every day, they took rubbish every day. Restaurant on the roof with amazing view. Very, very good breakfast. 3 km walking to all main sightseeings. As a minus is noise from street and restaurants around but we were so tired every day that it didn't disturb us. Can highly recommend.

Clean. AC will have you freezing (which is good). Breakfast decent and staff friendly (but not overly accommodating, but that's normal in Istanbul, wages are a disgrace). Small fridge, TV but no iron. Location is perfect to be honest and the sights from the top floor amazing. Would book again, because you won't do better for the price.

Lovely and straightforward hotel in a convenient location - great views from the rooftop restaurant (or even your room if you’re lucky!) Outstanding staff, made me feel very welcome as a single traveler and made my stay easy and comfortable.

The hotel was a great experience. It is situated very centrally close to Galata bridge and around 10 minutes by foot from galata tower. The room was very clean. It was very warm when I was visiting but the AC worked like a charm. The staff was very helpful in all of our requests. After I had checked out I realized I had forgotten cash money in the room. After I called, they fetched the envelope from the room and I could pick it up at the reception. I recommend the hotel to everyone staying in Istanbul.

Visited in February 2015. We had a layover in Istanbul and wanted to experience more than just the airport. We booked the Golden City Hotel for a night and had a pleasant stay. The room offered stunning views of Istanbul. The staff was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Since we had an early flight, they even arranged an early breakfast for us. Thank you so much! I highly recommend this hotel. Next time we’re in Istanbul, it will definitely be our top choice.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights, and I must say I am extremely pleased with my choice. There are numerous reasons why this hotel stands out, with the location being at the forefront. It offers easy access to the metro, tram, and ferries, making it convenient to explore all parts of Istanbul. Despite its central location, the hotel maintains a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere.

The rooftop terrace provides an unparalleled view of the city, especially during sunset—it's absolutely breathtaking. Additionally, the staff members are incredibly friendly and accommodating. When I requested a room change for a quieter environment, they promptly provided me with the best available option.

The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, especially those in the new building. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

Great location and near metro and tram station. The personnel there are very nice and helpful. The view from the 6 and above facing the canal is breath taking. The only problem is rooms below this level are facing a building that covers the view.
