Grand Balyan Hotel & Restaurant

You must never go to this hotel
- even in the VIP rooms, the noise from the rooftop is unbearable
- a window WITHOUT a curtain overlooking the corridor.
- Horrible view
- Breakfast: very bad quality and few choice for the price

I chose this hotel based on location and the reviews for Sofia, the lady at the night shift, Sofia is kind and genuine, such helpful lady. 1st day I went for breakfast there were 2 ladies, I didn’t know if they work there or not, always on their phone watching loud videos without headphones, I saw them wrapping up breakfast it means they work there, no smile no good morning, third day i went for breakfast 10:02, they told me “FINISH”, I said I will grab eggs (they were still wrapping the food and there were one couple) they started raising their voice saying “FINISH”, I took 2 boiled eggs and ate, I went to reception to complain the day shift guy went up with me to talk to them, they were smoking and on their phone, he was talking to them and they were arguing with him, I left. I was going out and talking to the receptionist, one of them interrupted me, I told her I’m talking she continued, 3 times I told her I’m talking and the receptionist didn’t tell her to wait. What an experience! Definitely not coming back and I feel bad I am writing this review that might affect Sofia

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! The rooms displayed on the pictures don’t look like that in reality. I booked this hotel for 4 nights and we left immediately next morning. We were offered 3 rooms, 2 rooms had no windows, one had window with view on the toilets and carbage containers, another one had window which faced a wall of different building 50cm away, between those buildings was bunch of garbage stuck and next to the window a sewer pipeline, so everytime a toilet was flushed you heared a waterfall going down. Sound isolation is terrible so at night you are woken up everytime some flush a toilet on higher floor. All rooms had cracked & moldy walls with paint falling off, broken doors, extremely dirty shower with rusty iron everywhere. The owner refused to compensate us even after multiple complaints. Pictures attached are from 3 different rooms offered to us, they were all in disastrous state.

The Grand Balayan Hotel & Testaurant is far from good. Even from acceptable.
First of all I wouldn’t call something like this a hotel, secondly there is no restaurant.

Oh, and you can’t drink alcohol in the building, not even your own. (They were not checking to be fair)

To sum up our stay at the Grand Balyan Hotel & Restaurant. It’s not grand, it is terrible at being a hotel, and there is no restaurant.
