Grand Washington Hotel

Rooms are like match boxes. Service generally crap. No one speak the English,( acting) except reception. One iron for entire Hotel, & not very helpful in locating it. Breakfast not great at all. This Hotel markets itself as 4*, but more like a 1 *. 1 key card per room.Now that is not practical. Linenware has skid marks on it. Asked staff to have 2 lights repaired in cnr.of room as very dark to see inside suitcases. Maintenance supposed to come after breakfast, still coming! Having to call 4- 5 times to reception to get/ enquire on anything.Respond time bad. Staff not too friendly.Repeat, " Me no understand English " I even asked the front reception man to speak to the manager i saw at back office.I always give the other party a chance to respond before having to write a review. He just laughed me off. See they don't care, cause they busy.Business will only stay, if they are appreciated. Definitely wont be back here. Only positive- near to amenities & metro. GOD Bless.

During my recent stay at the Grand Washington Hotel, I found the building to be visually appealing and the location convenient. However, the overall experience fell short of expectations. The rooms were small and the furniture appeared worn and outdated. The staff's proficiency in English was limited, making communication challenging. Despite being classified as a four-star hotel, the amenities and services provided were more in line with a two-star rating. The high room rates did not align with the quality offered, as the air conditioning was subpar and the internet connection slow. Based on my experience, I would not choose to stay at this hotel again and would not recommend it to others If you are considering staying at this hotel, it is strongly advised to carefully read the reviews before making a booking decision. Should you choose to proceed with the reservation despite any negative feedback, it is important to take responsibility for your choice and refrain from lodging complaints afterwards.

Pitiful hotel to avoid 4 stars but a joke!!! This establishment should close SCAMMERS it is a disgrace to the country! When we arrived at 11 p.m. when we had paid the reservation via Opodo (the full amount) they asked us to pay the sum of €1080 under the pretext that the company we paid to had gone bankrupt. My son in tears because he was worried about where we were going to sleep!!! They printed us an invoice from a non-existent company, my husband, devastated by the situation, decided to pay this sum by credit card so that we could sleep and our son would be at peace. We continued with my friend who was part of the trip with her children to look for the reasons for this sum (€1080) the tone rose they were very threatening, with the complicity of a Mr. at the reception they even laughed at us! We ended up telling them that we were going to call in a lawyer, that we were not going to let this happen and that an opinion on their site was going to be given! Suddenly they change their minds, refund us the full amount of €1080 and apologize for trying to scam us by welcoming us to Turkey! In Vaumir! The repetitive breakfast, no toaster, frequent breakdowns at the hot drinks dispensers and undrinkable chemical juice, so no hot chaucolat for the children. The cereals which are disgusting smell of rence! Never a hello from the staff apart from Fadir who apologizes for the welcome we received when we arrived. Finally, avoid.

We stayed there for 4 days however the reception staff were horrible! We asked for a taxi to the airport and they took 40 euros from us when it only cost 900 turkish liras for the taxi. They had given the taxi driver less money to keep it for themselves. Please be careful with them as they tend to steal money from you to keep it for themselves.
