A very good hotel! We stayed here for five nights. The breakfast was simple but very good. We had booked an economy room, which was a bit small, but this wasn't an issue for us since we spent most of the day exploring the city. The hotel is in a very central location, surrounded by many restaurants and shops. It’s also close to all the main attractions and near metro and tram stations.

People smoking in there rooms, making the hallways smell of cigarette smoke. We changed rooms 3 times. The first room when flushing the toilet gave off a strange smell. The second room has the same problem. All rooms where in disrepair, with fittings broken. You will not get a good night's sleep as Hotel is old so outside noise is very loud. None of the room safes worked so we carried with us our passports and money all the time. The breakfast buffet was adequate but not great it was a Turkish style breakfast and not continental. This hotel was definitely not a 4* more like 2/3.

Rooms weren't the cleanest but the staff were amazing. And the location was wonderful.
A Huge thanks to Onur, he was extremely courteous and always ready to help which really boosted our comfort levels during the stay.

Room was very small and tired, we could hear the next room word for word as we were trying to sleep. Location was perfect and served us well as a base. We tried to stay out until it was bedtime to avoid being in the room.
It was probably a 4* hotel long ago but now it is most definitely not, especially when you compare it to the 3* ones across the road.
That along with the paper thin walls our sleep was disturbed every night.
I am being polite with the 3* the staff were very friendly. Especially the breakfast staff they were the most friendliest.

Best area to stay in Istanbul - the biggest tourist attractions are only a few minutes walk away, public transport options are great and there’s plenty of restaurants nearby. Outstanding customer service - staff was always ready to help, smiley and friendly people! Rooms are quite small, (who spends time in the room on holiday anyways…), but clean. Breakfast was delicious, we were looking forward to it every morning! Really enjoyed our stay :)

I had economy room, was travelling with mum for 5 nights. Room was tiny but served purpose as we only came to the room for sleep/rest etc so didn’t bother but I saw some of the rooms while being cleaned that they were good size so maybe only economy rooms very small. First two nights fell on weekend, our room’s window was towards the main road so a lot of traffic noise till late night but week nights were quiet. Other than than clean and comfy. Breakfast was traditional Turkish. Location was amazing, blue mosque aya Sophia spice & grand bazar and water front all walking distance and we walked to all of them. A lot of hustle & bustle and restaurants nearby too. If you’re staying here then you must have dinner at the restaurant next to it called Hoja Pasa fish & meat house, a small family owned restaurant, we went twice and food quality and service was amazing ❤️

Been a few times to Istanbul and this has been the most amazing experience,can’t complement the hotel enough,Omar and Muaz were exceptional. I will be recommending this hotel to all my friends who come to visit the beautiful city. The location food and hospitality was exceptional,if you visit Istanbul this is the ideal hotel

We lived a dangerous accident during our staying. There was a fire in the hotel. It happened in the middle of the night, August 26. We spent some time outside on the street. And then came back to the room but couldn’t sleep because of smell and stress. Later, we learned that this is a common occurrence in this area, as the building mostly are quite old.
Also I don’t recommend to buy a hammam service in the hotel too, because it doesn’t worth the price. Better to book hotel with SPA zone.

Really good location (be aware that all prices around the hotel are for tourists). The room was very old. Ahmed was very sweet and helped with anything needed

I was a bit concerned about staying here given the other reviews, but my experience was overall very positive! Bear in mind that this is one of the oldest hotels in Sultanhamet, it is not modern but it was squeaky clean. Breakfast buffet was OK but the price for the hotel was a bargain so it averaged out.
Location was amazing, 10 mins to Hagia Sofia. It’s quite a hilly city and this hotel sits on one of these hills.
Staff were all lovely, especially Onur 🙌
