Leyenda Hotel

We were scammed by this hotel. We booked and paid via Agoda, but upon arrival, there were no rooms left for us.

They sent us to a nearby, smaller, and dustier hotel. We were too tired to argue and left early the next morning. I'm writing this review to warn others. I strongly recommend booking elsewhere to ensure a smooth arrival and a pleasant stay

Don’t stay here. Don’t trust in the booking review, they ask at the end to give a 10 review there.

The rooms smell bad. They are not totally clean. The towels were ripped. The walls are not strong, you can hear everything. They changed our room in the second day and gave us a wrong key, of a busy room. The room was not what we expected with the pictures. The decoration and furniture it is cheap. The air conditioner was making noises. Not recommended at all! The only good thing was the location. However I don't recommend to stay here, pay a little bit more for better quality.

WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! DO NOT BOOK HERE! I have too many stories to tell and have already filed complaints but the rooms smelled bad, were not clean, breakfast was not "good breakfast"... overall would have had a better time staying at a motel.... oh and the staff definitely scam you and would not give us our rooms unless all our guests had arrived (ie even if you paid for the rooms, they would not give you them). I am not sure who the manager or owner was as NONE of the workers would tell you and they took our money full cash the first day. I write this review so other people can be AWARE and not have to go through what we went through!

Worst experience at this hotel! The staff who run the front desk are ignorant and obsessed with taking your money upfront, yet the service they provided for our family was ludicrous, unorganized and a complete waste of everyone's time! They rarely clean the rooms and the plumbing was horrible. I don't know how this hotel passed inspection and was approved to serve to the public. Probably the only decent part of the hotel was the cooks who prepared breakfast, they were very friendly and kind.

If you're looking to come to Istanbul for a vacation, you can come to this hotel if u really want all your money gone. Not at all convenient when you travel across the world to come to a place like this! Just Dreadful!!!

We stayed here for a wedding, rooms are small and they did not give us the room that we paid for. Our basement room had a very bad smell. Breakfast is ok,
Front desk staff was supposed to arrange for transportation to the wedding and they made us walk several blocks to get ti the bus!!! Not cool at all as we were all in high hills😡. Also they insisted on getting cash upfront every time we asked for taxi. Which they were asking twice as much if you were getting the taxi on your own. Would not stay here, there are better hotels in the area if you want yo be in central location.

There’s good staff but most of them are mean and doesn’t treat you like guests. My room they had to change the bed and the literally ask my and my cousin to help change the bed. Soo many problems with the rooms and the staff. One of the worse experience in a hotel

Pros:
- Prefect location, close to tram, tourist sites, grand bazar, good restaurants etc.
- Good breakfast with variety of options. The cook lady was really nice and friendly.
- Allowed us to check out a bit later.

Cons:
- Everyday the hot water will run and had to complain so many times to get fixed. we had to take COLD SHOWERS early morning.
- We were given basement room and another room upstairs. smelt musky and damp and not enough ventilation.
- The toilet door doesn't shut properly and doesn't lock properly. Takes good few minutes to get it closed so you can use it.
- We requested for a baby crib but was given room which you could hardly fit in yourselves.
- The showers were mouldy and broken. Needs a upgrade.
- No ventilations in the toilets.
- Forcefully make you give a good review on through the website/app you booked.

Overall I wasn't entirely happy with the stay but we were out most of the day so we just about managed it.
