Hotel Niles Istanbul

Cute and cozy hotel centrally located near many points of interest and transportation. The room with small Turkish bath I booked was just like the pictures shown -lovely.

Ege in the front desk and Yağmur in the breakfast room were kind, friendly and always helpful. The cleaning staff is great.

The breakfast could improve by rotating items every other day. We had the same items for four days straight. Some new food was added until our fifth breakfast day.

I will repeat this hotel next time I visit Istanbul.

Lovely service upon entry.

The rooms are well sized and all the utilities worked well. I did have a minor issue with the air conditioning but this wasn't a deal-breaker.

The staff are helpful and friendly.

The hotel is close to the tram line which will take you downtown to all the main sights. It's also walkable to Hagia Sophia and other sights. Close to the Grand Bazaar also.

From the moment you enter this building, welcomed by the utmost politeness by Mr. Ege, you will feel in an elegant dream to the past, with the rich authentic decor from the ancient Istanbul, and the stellar example of hospitality. Mrs. Tolga may greet you with hot or cold drinks on the beautiful garden rooftop cafe/bar, with spectacular views of the Bosporus while you from your drink. If you’re seeking an oasis in the bustling center of the historic Istanbul, you must visit this hotel even if you’re not going to stay there. Go enjoy the rooftop, order a drink or two and experience the journey from past to present.

We stayed here for 6 nightwas our first time in Istanbul, so the location was PERFECT. 5 - 15 minute walk to everything we wanted to see. The hotel is very charming, we loved our room's decor, the beds were very comfortable, and the room service was good. There was always someone at the desk to ask questions.
We also requested two transfers, and it worked very well.

It was very nice to have a breakfast routine and not having to look for a place to eat first thing in the morning. The beautiful rooftop terrace was also our place to relax during the day or night - you can bring a computer there to work, or your own food (they only have drinks available during a day).

The gym was disappointing - small, some machines broken, and strong chlorine smell in the shower. But, with so much walking during the day, it didn't really matter :)

If you’re looking for a nice boutique hotel, which is situated close to all of the main attractions (within 10-20 min walk) this is a great place to stay!

Positives:

Very friendly and attentive staff, always had a smiling face, always happy to help us.

Rooms were cleaned to a good standard, our room was the junior suite with hammam which was a very nice touch, highly recommended this room.

Negatives:

The breakfast which I feel can be a bit plain and repetitive however, it is not bad at all. It is on the rooftop terrace which is great, and again all the staff are so friendly at every service.

It can be slightly noisy outside at night, but we had a balcony door which we could close, and AC in the room so no problems.

Final thoughts:

Absolutely recommend this place, we had a smooth check in, a pleasant stay, and will miss this place. Thank you to all of the staff!

The staff were all extremely nice, housekeeping kept my room spotless, the hotel's atmosphere is fantastic, and the hotel's location in the old city is excellent. Particularly I would like thank Khalil from the breakfast staff, who made an effort to know my name and ask me how I am every morning. He really made a difference every morning. Also, I forget his name but the man who was working evenings in February was also very nice and helped me whenever I had questions.

The only thing that could use improvement is the gym downstairs. I believe some of the machines did not work.

Would definitely recommend staying at Hotel Niles!!! Location is perfect, it is easy to access many of the main attractions in Istanbul from here. All staff at the hotel are friendly, welcoming, and provide an excellent service!
The hotel is clean throughout and the beds are comfortable. The terrace breakfast is really good, serving traditional Turkish breakfast. The views are so beautiful from the terrace!

Excellent service. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a chic and unique hotel among the busiest areas of Istanbul. The interiors are very thoughtfully decorated and the rooftop bar offers a great view. I arrived late night with my wife and young baby after a long and tiring flight - the welcome we got at the hotel was very pleasant and personal, it helped us relax almost instantly. They also upgraded us to their Duplex suite, and their service throughout our stay was amazing. They were able to help us with all sorts of requests we had, from getting us Hamam reservations to taxis any time of the day. This hotel might not be as big as some of the big name chains, but they make up for it with their unique and personal service. The location is also perfect, walkable to Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. Glad I found this gem!
