Lovely Boutique Hotel. We stayed at Hotel St. Sophia for 4 nights. Excellent location for all the major tourist attractions. Rooms were very clean and nicely kept, could have been a bit larger especially if you have lots of luggage, but we were very comfortable.
All the staff, from waiters , housekeeping and concierge/ reception were very helpful, polite and extremely nice. Sedat and his team (Enes, Taha and everyone else were fantastic.
Breakfast was nice also.
On the whole a very enjoyable trip

We used the Boutique St. Sophia bar as our pit stop on a number of occasions while in Istanbul. Zaynep looked after us each time. She is so friendly, so much fun, and attentive .... 5 *'s to you Zaynep for making us smile and looking after us so well. Rob & Suze from Australia xx

Location is absolutely fantastic! Right next door to Hagia Sophia & the blue mosque! Walking distance to everything you want to see in this area of Istanbul. Service from staff was fantastic. Breakfast was yummy. Rooms are okay, very small, bathrooms look better then what they actually are, a lot of mould in the shower, and we had a smell in our room, I think there had been water damage with the floor boards and it was starting to smell… that’s my only ‘complaint’. Everything else is fantastic.

Location is worth 10 points. Unfortunately I have to write….The hotel is tired. Needs renovation. At breakfast, air conditioning water dripped from the ceiling and was periodically wiped off with a mop above us. The shower was also leaking water to the sink. It's very noisy outside. Tram line. The carpeted steps are really sad and I hope it didn’t seem to us that they were just being repaired at that moment. Breakfast... seems plentiful and varied. At first sight. In fact, the vegetables are limp. The fruit is warm. Probably the serving is prepared very much in advance and due to the heat the quality is lost. The staff is friendly. They helped with a taxi to the airport and suitcases to the taxi, since the area is pedestrian and it can be difficult to walk/leave along the cobblestones with luggage.

We stayed at Hotel St. Sophia for 4 nights.

It is in the best location possible: right next to the Hagia Sophia (we had an amazing view of it from our balcony) and within walking distance of the majority of attractions in Sultanahmet, as well as from two tram stops.

Every single person on staff was incredibly nice and helpful.

I recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Istanbul.

Sedat and his staff have been so accommodating and wonderful! The location is central to everything you would want to see in Istanbul and right between two tram stops that will take you where you want to go. They have an awesome patio and great breakfast. The rooms are spacious and clean! We love staying here so much and would come back again!

This is my second stay at this marvelous hotel. The duty manager was really helpful. Although I arrived at the hotel at 6:45 am and check in time was 2 pm, he went out of his way to accommodate me and I was able to check in around 8:30 am so that I was able to rest from my long flight. The location of the hotel was so very convenient, really close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia as well as the Hamam. On my day of departure, since I had to arrive at the airport at 7 am and therefore would miss breakfast, the duty manager arranged for a packet lunchbox. Very well done and customer focused. I will be back to this hotel for sure!
