The staff at Santa Ottoman Hotel were amazing, especially Dogan, who was so helpful and kind throughout my stay. The central location, just steps from Istiklal Street, made exploring Istanbul incredibly easy. Highly recommend!
From the moment I arrived, I was shocked by the atmosphere at the reception. It felt more like a bar of ill repute than a hotel front desk. This was extremely unsettling and made me uncomfortable right from the start.
The cleanliness of the place was horrendous. My room was dirty and neglected, making my stay extremely uncomfortable. One expects a basic level of cleanliness in a hotel, but unfortunately, this was not the case here.
The staff, far from being welcoming, were arrogant and aggressive. Every interaction left me feeling disrespected and mistreated. This behavior is unacceptable and greatly contributed to my sense of insecurity.
The worst part was that I fell victim to theft during my stay. Losing personal belongings in a place meant to be safe is frightening and traumatic.
I strongly advise against choosing this hotel. My experience was a complete disaster, and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through what I did. There are certainly better places to stay in Istanbul, where you will be welcomed with respect and can feel secure.
