Loved this place. It did not disappoint. Absolutely THE best view of the Blue Mosque from their beautiful court yard. I could have sat in the court yard all day. Excellent, attentive staff made great recommendations. Breakfast with an unbeatable water view. Great value. Utilized their private transport from airport per reviewer suggest and glad we did (worth the extra $). Bazaar just across the street was a fun bonus. Everything you want to see is very walkable from this hotel and easy to find!

This was an OUTSTANDING place to stay. Really, I can’t say enough good things about it.
First, the design/decor in the Ottoman motif is beautiful in every detail. We felt like we stepped back in time.
The service was also par excellence. Every request was met quickly and pleasantly. The front desk team was careful to make sure all our arrangements were in place and on time.
The onsite restaurant was also a big plus. A great buffet was ready for us every morning, with a pleasant view looking over the ocean.
Finally, the location directly across from the Blue Mosque was super-convenient for access to all of old town İstanbul.
Edit: it is highly advisable to accept the offer of shuttle driving to/from this hotel as arranged by the hotel staff. It is well worth the cost!

Great location, this hotel is beautiful. The gardens are peaceful and the restaurant has amazing views. Some rooms have views of the Blue Mosque and some have views of the bosphorous. The hotel is very clean and staff are very helpful. The service was amazing. I would love to come back.

I recently had a wonderful stay at the Sultan Ahmet Palace Hotel, a beautiful and fantastic hotel with a good location, and attentive staff. The rooms are spacious, clean and well-appointed with a good bathrooms.
The hotel's breakfast buffet was wonderful with many variety. In particular, I would like to commend Ayman, The Nubian Egyptian waiter Who was a welcoming, friendly & helpful. Ayman made our breakfast experience truly enjoyable

We stayed at this Magnificent and elegant place from May 5-8 2024. Hotel has historic vibes, very elegant and feels and looks like an actual palace
We had room with sea view and balcony. Somewhat small but wouldn’t complain since we stayed mostly out.
The breakfast area has beautiful view of Marmara Sea nice and breezy terrace and patio.
The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
Would highly recommend

This was the second time someone from my family visiting from New York stayed here. This time it was a huge disappointment, mainly because of the inconsiderate day manager. I couldn't get in touch with my family so as a last resort I called the receptionist to connect me to their rooms. Since they weren't there either, the call went back to the receptionist. He could have not said anything and hung up, instead chose to insinuate that they weren't my family. "If he is your brother you should have his phone number." Wth? Later, when I asked him his name because I wanted to complain to the owner, he told me to get out of the hotel. İn Turkish I addressed him politely as "siz" in all our conversations, but he always addressed me as "sen" this is massively disrespectful to a guest!
Other than that, they charged my brother 7 EURO for the flimsy slippers in the room that are normally considered complimentary hotel amenity.
This was the last time I will ever recommend this hotel to my friends even if the view really is beautiful.

For all tourists in İstanbul! Stay away from that place.
This comment is about hotel’s restaurant. That should give information about the hotel aswell. Same people are leading the organization!
Clearly one of the worst restaurant around Sultanahmet Square. Only view was ok! Rest in my comment. Please read before you go there!
First of all, waiter doesnt even welcome you. Not showing table, not opening doors etc. Same experience also while leaving… very poor quality of service. 1/5
Secondly, salad.
Normally in Turkiye, they should bring olive oil, vinegar and other traditional souces with salad. We ordered “coban salata” which contains tomatoes, cucumber and 4 small sized mozeralla balls. They pre sauced our salad without our order. Sadly they put sunflower oil… instead of virgin olive oil…
Very low quality sauces and salad… 2/5
Thirdly, main dishes
Their turkish pide, just waste of money and unnecesary bad calories. Probably they bake it at morning then put in microwave oven before you order. For sure it was not fresh! İ think it baked like 6-7 hours ago before dinner time.
1/5
Second food we order was “Alinazik”
Their eggplant sauce was Ok but meat was terrible. Dry, not tasty and sauce was full of margarin... 3/5
Meat balls was the only OK thing for my experience 4/5
Lastly,
When i checked the bill, they automatically added %10 percent service fee! According to Turkish Law’s it is ILLEGAL! Also, with that low service quality they dont even deserve %1 of it.
When i try to say something about it, waiter guy responded me unpolitely. For not fighting with them i paid it but for sure, they GASPED my money.
As a result, try any other place around Sultanahmet Square but do not come here even if you die due to hunger.

The Sultanahmet Palace was an excellent place to base oneself to explore the Old City. The location allows you to soak in the beauty of Blue mosque throughout the day and its a view you can't tire of. They wrote to us prior to our arrival asking if they should arrange for an airport transfer and we accepted. It was a smooth process and we made it easily to the hotel in comfortable Mercedes Vito.
Rooms are spacious and clean and the beds are comfortable. The housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful and rooms were cleaned everyday and linen replaced. The only thing I'd change is the bathroom which has a weird design with the ablution bowl front and centre in the shower area and a toilet behind the door. Getting to the toilet without falling into the wet shower area is a challenge! And if you use the shower, water gets into the ablution bowl and you have to drain it using a mug/ bowl as it doesn't have a drain. But when you stay for 4 days, you get used to it!!!!
The staff are excellent. The person at the reception was very helpful and also helped recommend a guide for a day (who was good). Particular thanks to Ayman at the restaurant where we had breakfast for making our mornings pleasant. Helpful, he always put the customer in the centre of what he did. While his colleagues were not so helpful and refused to find us a place without the sun beating down on us, Ayman made it work.
Breakfast was included in the package and the buffet was decent but has loads of room for improvement. In a country like Turkey, where you get fresh orange juice in every corner, I am surprised that the hotel offers processed/ packaged orange juice, packaged plain yoghurt etc. There is a fresh counter to make hot omelettes etc but it was the worst i have had. Given this was our last stop in Turkey and we had fantastic food all around, the food here was definitely sub par. I stuck to boiled eggs as the watery scrambled eggs and omelette were not great! The service by other staff in the restaurant can improve to complement that of Ayman, who was absolutely wonderful.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and we are grateful to the staff to have given us a memorable experience. Between the location and majority of the staff, its the place to be in Istanbul.

Ambiance: historical palace with beautiful interior architecture.
Room: great view from balcony (enough space for 2 persons). Overall small in size. Floor tiles and therefore cold (feet) in the winter. Bath small and crowded, but nice Turkish style bath.
Garden: very beautiful and spacious with lots of seating. Great view of the Bosphorus. A gem in the summer. Cute playful cats.
Restaurant: outside with access through garden. Beautiful views.
Staff: very polite, friendly, attentive and accommodating.
Laundry/ dry cleaning service available.
Location: TOP. Both Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia visible from balcony.

We booked a 'corner sea view' room on Agoda. The hotel put us in a TINY non-corner room so we complained and they moved us to a corner room, which was bigger but not huge. The bathroom is ridiculously small. You have to step into the sometimes wet shower area to get around the door to the toilet, which is a tiny cramped space. The scrambled eggs on the first morning were as cold as if they had just come out of the fridge, otherwise breakfast was ok. The WiFi was terrible - slow and kept dropping. 6 to 19Mbps was typical. You can only get one key for your room so we had to put a credit card into the slot that controls the room lights if one of us went out. BUT the place is super convenient for all of the tourist places and immediately by the Blue Mosque.
