Rooms are clean, Kitchen is also available for cooking and there is a dining area as well. The Boys room is in the basement, but it's good. Staff is nice and respectful. Overall experience is good. The only thing that could elevate the experience is washing maching and dryer for guest's clothes because the price of the laundry is around 250tl per kg. Otherwise, it's a good place to stay if you are traveling solo.
Price is very low and taksim square is just 600-700 meters away.

I got a dirty bed ( which I didn’t complain since the price (Agoda) was fair for the place €7. When I arrived I told the kind man of the night shift that I might stay the second night. I confirm this during the next morning. When I wanted to check out the price was double. Reason: I didn’t book the second night in Agoda but directly. (Means no fees for external service). I asked and they told me: you should have asked the price.!!! With a very bad attitude. (Morning shift guy). I said I don’t think the price is fair. Bed isn’t clean, kitchen also dirty, no toilet paper in the bathroom. The attitude of the morning shift guy. His answer was: why you didn’t mention that the bed isn’t clean! Like is my job to report that. I came to Istanbul during national holiday. The tourist personal should be trained to be at least respectful. I understand their culture is “macho men” kind but is unnecessary if I am a client. I feel sorry since I see other reviewers had better experience but is not my case. I have travelled all over the world and this wasn’t a nice experience. Hope they can improve. Note: green is due to the painted doors. Nothing to do with sustainability or nature.

've been traveling solo since 2016 and have stayed in a wide range of hostels around the world. This one definitely ranks in my top 10. Green House is clean, well-maintained, and true to its promises. The owner's hospitality, like that of many Turks, is exceptional, and I genuinely felt at home here. Recommended hand on heart :D

I booked 6 people room but first they give me 8 people room. When i ask, first they insist after accepted to change my room which i booked. Expect this story, other things was nice.

This was my second different hostel in Istanbul. This was at least 2x better than the other one, even though this is almost of the same price and the almost the same location.
The only 2 things for which I will highly avoid is the cleanliness of it's kitchen (it was in a pathetic shape, almost pukish) and the extremely stinky toilet. The ones that I am reviewing are in the basement. I am not sure if they had others in any other floors.
The toilet was clean yet extremely stinky. I wouldn't dare use it again.
The staff is extremely kind and helpful.
The Dorm is extremely comfortable and big.
I got 3 (and I think everyone did) lockers. Which is very kind and enough to safekeep your valuables.
The location is decent. It's near taksim square.
Public Transport is accessible.
Good WiFi.

I love this place, because of the manager :-) (hello, you!). He was very kind and patient.
Some words about service. Everything was wonderful, clean and comfortable. May be a bit noisy, but this is hostel, so what you choose. For this price this is the best place on Taksim square, believe me.

Fabulous stay in shared female dorm, clean and tidy.
Lockers for big bag as well as small locker at bedside. 3x power plugs per bed ❤️.
Yassin is a fabulous host.

This hostel has a fantastic location, with friendly staff and clean rooms. It's a perfect choice for travelers looking for convenience, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere.
There was an outlet next to my bed and also privacy curtains that I appreciate so much while sleeping in hostels.

I highly recommand this hostel. I had a great experience staying here for almost a month. It’s small but feels like home. Great value for money. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. Wifi works very well. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, the location is central and the neighborhood is very calm at night unlike other noisy places in Istanbul. I also felt very safe going out alone at night. I Would definitely come back here next time I visit Istanbul !
