Charming hotel in an extraordinary location, literally steps away from the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topkapi Palace. Friendly and attentive staff provided excellent service and top tips for enjoying the center of Istanbul.

Lovely breakfast served on the top floor with a panoramic view of the city and sea. Easy walking distance to numerous restaurants, shops and markets. Highly recommended.

We fall in love with this hotel. The actual room were ok very clean a bit small but cozy. But the people who work there are incredible. Some of the kindness warmest people I ever meet. After staying there for a week they became like a family to us. My kids were so in love with employees that they didn't want to leave to be Honest. None of us wanted to leave. We wanted to stay in that place forever. Location was also great evening near by. And the owner was very kind sweet men. He let my son sing and dance for him for a good hour lol I don't know many people who can seat and watch 5 year old 😅 singing and dancing for an hour with a smile and clapping for him and telling him how incredible he was and my son left that hotel thinking he is a local start lol. My kids didn't stop talking about this place in till next year when we go back. Truly my favorite place in istanbul.

The location of the hotel is really great. It should be the closest hotel to Hagia Sophia. There is a temporary parking lot at the door which is also the closest parking lot to the cathedral. Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Obelisk, Basilica Cistern, and the Old Royal Palace are all within a few minutes' walk. It is also very close to the bustling commercial street, light rail station and Grand Bazaar. It is only a ten-minute walk to the cruise terminal. Minutes away from countless restaurants and shops. We stayed for three days, walked around various attractions in the old town, and took the light rail to Galata Tower in the new town.

The exterior of the hotel is a small red building with a beautiful small yard. The lobby is small and elegant, and there is a small elevator, which saves you the trouble of carrying luggage upstairs.

The fourth floor is a beautiful restaurant with a 270-degree view. The sunrise is right in front of you, and the Sophia Church and the Blue Mosque are just around the corner, shining in the morning light. In the early morning when there are no tourists yet, whether viewed from a distance or up close, those ancient historical buildings show incomparable solemnity and beauty.

There are not many types of breakfast, but it is exquisite, has everything you need and tastes delicious.

Of course there are disadvantages. Due to the limited size of the hotel, the rooms are very small. There is no free bottled water in the room, and there is no kettle (after checking out, I asked the front desk guy and I learned that if you need to boil water, you can ask the front desk for a kettle). The facilities are also relatively old, but the hygiene is up to standard.

For such a hotel with an excellent location and a quiet location, the price is certainly not cheap. It all depends on your requirements for cost-effectiveness!

All in all, it is a highly recommended hotel in Istanbul's old town.

Just downstairs from the Blue Mosque and Sophia Church. The owner of the hotel is an amiable elder. Recommended for everyone to stay. The elder’s family also gave me black tea to drink. Eating breakfast on the top floor with full sea view. It's a completely self-service breakfast. Fruits, eggs, sliced ​​meat, honey, and black tea are all available for self-service. The boss is very generous.

1. It wasn’t until I stayed in Pamukkale for twice the room price and had a very bad meal (the Pamukkale Hotel brought a pile of plates with nothing) that I missed the breakfast in Istanbul Konajwalid.
2. The hotel we stayed in in Pamukkale was too bad. The boss knocked on the door and shouted at us ladies even when we were taking a shower. Only then did we realize that the hotel at the Elder's House in Istanbul was safe and good. When we went out to play, we didn't have to worry about storing our luggage at the front desk. The top hotel in Pamukkale is the Pamukkale Whiteheaven Suite Hotel, and this is the most expensive hotel in Pamukkale, specifically discriminating against Asian faces. This trip changed my perspective. Either the most expensive one is the best.

The room is very good. It's on the edge of the ancient palace wall and close to the attractions. You can see the sea view from breakfast. The hotel service is very good. If I come to Istanbul again next time, I will choose this hotel again.
