Reviews
The management of this hotel should know that without booking agencies this hotel is completely unknown.
The hotel and its staff claim it’s a 5 star hotel. I would not give it 3 stars.
The rooms are worn out and old, the bathrooms have mold and you get insects as complementary gifts (see video). The room temperature is cold and they only give you a light cover. 5 star hotels give duvets. We wasted a whole day trying to figure out the room and missing items that should have been there. The eating areas are dirty and the plates and cutlery as well, so pay attention unless you want to get sick.
The hospitality is horrible and the staff will only attend European white people, alcohol drinkers, despite being all inclusive.
As a matter of fact, at the beach when you order a drink like soda you will have to pick it up yourself, but if it’s a beer or a European person ordering it, they run to that person like true domestics.
They only care about families with kids, there is no consideration for adults who pay full price. Entertainment personnel is very malicious and not respectful at all.
My expensive sunglasses were stolen at this hotel and they have not been able to find them despite having cameras in every angle.
The location is extremely unattractive and unsafe as taxi drivers and other markets keep trying to scam tourists: if you pay in euro you get the real price, if you pay in TL you pay a 50% add-on. When you pay in euros they will not give back euros but TL and keep euros in the country. In other words the city is full of scammers.
It’s a shame and the authorities should be embarrassed.
I will not be returning to this hotel again.
Sincerely.
UPDATE: Pretty sure I got bitten by bed bugs at this property. Stay away.
Summary: Not a luxury or 5 star resort, but we had a good time. I wouldn’t stay here again and would opt for a true luxury property in Belek or a different part of the Turkish coast entirely.
Our party: Two friends / girls trip
Arrival: Driving up to the property the surrounding area is old / a bit run down and the property is situated close to the street. Took about 25 min from Antalya airport. There is a security gate that checked our driver. The staff took our bags inside and offered us a cold welcome drink of our choice while taking our passport info. The lobby / front desk does not have the wow factor of a luxury resort, but it appeared very clean (see below comment about bed bugs). It looks like a cruise ship inside. Vertical with many floors but not a wide building. The property is directly on Lara beach.
Rooms: Major let down for a supposed “5 star / luxury” property. The “large” room was very small and the quality on par with an old Hampton Inn - rooms are in serious need of upgrades. Bed was comfortable but there was only a thin sheet on the bed but not duvet. Luckily when we asked for duvets they were provided. Both the room and bathroom appeared clean however I realize now I probably got bitten by bed bugs at this property (extremely itchy red bites in a pattern).
Food: Major dining hall is free but on property restaurants are NOT included and require a reservation, which was surprising for an all-inclusive and a let down. However the main dining hall (both indoor and outdoor seating) serves a great variety of food and more desserts than you can imagine. I thought the food was good but my friend thought it was average. They change up the dinner menu (bbq, noodles, Turkish night, etc.) There is a snack bar that serves fried chicken, fries, burgers, etc near the pool and also made to order personal pizzas. There’s a coffee stand that serves hot and iced coffee and a pastry / ice cream stand. Soft drinks are Coke products. I don’t drink so can’t speak to the alcohol.
Service: Great, prompt, friendly service. Staff is hard working and attentive especially at the dining hall. When we called and asked for something to be brought to the room, it was very quick. Guest relations was very quick to respond to inquiries on WhatsApp. Tulga is the on site resort driver and you can hire him to take you to old town or land of legends etc, he is very reliable and kind.
Beach & Pool: There is an adults only pool and another larger pool. Lots of chairs and umbrellas. The towel station is a 10 min walk from the beach so be mindful of that. Drink service was slower by the pool and beach so it’s easier to walk up to get drinks. The beach chairs have a covered awning. Water is nice and there is no seaweed in the Mediterranean so that’s a plus. We had a nice time laying near the beach and pool both.
Spa: The Turkish bath was a nice experience but be warned it is mixed men and women. We managed to reserve a time with just us and two female therapists, but mixed genders is a possibility. Massage after was so good and was extra. Nice sauna. There is a hair and nail salon but they are very overpriced and don’t provide great service. They charged me €30 to diffuse my hair with the blow dryer after I styled it myself in the room (my personal hair dryer wasn’t working) and I ended up taking the blow dryer from the guy and finishing my hair myself because he didn’t know what he was doing.
Overall, we had a nice time. The staff was courteous and professional. But if you are in search of a true luxury property, look elsewhere.
EDIT: Response to the comment by the hotel…. Thank you for the reply. You are correct that I did not stay at your hotel, but I “experienced” the noise pollution from your hotel every night of my stay at the resort adjacent to Liberty, which entitles me to review your property. Your response to my review and the dozens of other reviews complaining of your unnecessarily loud music shows how irresponsible and incompetent you are as a hotel manager. There is an easy solution to all these complaints, just lower the volume of the music. Your guests partying at the pool will still enjoy themselves - probably even more, since they’ll be able to actually hold a conversation with their friends without screaming over the music - and you’ll be a better neighbor to the resorts around you. I guarantee you that nobody has chosen to book your hotel because you have a DJ that plays extremely loud (yet bad) music every night. On the contrary, I assure you lots of guests (especially families) have seen these negative reviews and opted to book their holidays elsewhere. Your stubbornness and refusal to acknowledge these complaints isn’t just inconsiderate and rude, it’s hurting your bookings and profits as well.
Absolutely loved the place.
Arrived on my birthday and the hotel staff couldn't do enough to make it a special occasion. They arranged a la carte Italian meal for us, which was incredible. The staff have been absolutely fantastic for the whole week.
The hotel is all-inclusive, so food and drink were plentiful, again food was lovely, fresh and of high quality, something different every day.
Facilities like outdoor pools, although a little cold, were spotless, indoor pool, gym hairdresser, doctor on sight, disco, and shops spot-on. There are plenty of areas for sunbathing, and the beach is very clean with direct access from hotel.
There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors to try all of the cocktails or a nice 🍎 tea.
We loved our stay here and are really hoping to return in October. See you all soon.
However, it’s ridiculous that it’s end of march now (over 30c) and it’s very warm in the hotel room during daytime and beginning of evening . Guest relations said it’s still their winter period and got T&c that they don’t provide a/c. However their fan is out of stock and when they ask us to keep the balcony door open for breeze. I think they don’t understand how noisy it is to do that.
It’s really hard to fall into sleep… either suffer heat or noise.
I had checked through again on Expedia website and there’s nothing mention about winter or summer season arrangements. If I knew it, wouldn’t book this hotel. So, beware of their season before booking.
Other than sleepless nights, the hotel has lots to offer and the room is spacious. And buffets foods are tasty and fresh.
