Sealife Buket Resort & Beach Hotel

We came to the Sealife Puket Hotel for a fun-filled vacation and to celebrate our only son's birthday. The hotel is nice and beautiful but the problem is Unfortunately, Svetlana, who works in the tourism industry, ruined our vacation with her disgusting behavior toward many of the guests! Our wife and I went to the receptionist, Sveťläná, and were unfortunately surprised by her reaction. She didn't even say, "Come in," or "I'll help you." She just took our room number and said, "Everything will be fine." I don't know why she treats tourists this way! My wife repeatedly told her that the room was unclean, the bathroom smelled awful, and that the cups in front of the room almost hurt my son's finger. Our vacation was not enjoyable. We did not have a nice vacation

That was my 3rd time in Turkey, and sadly my worst experience — not just in Turkey, but in my whole life staying at a hotel. • AC issues: The air conditioning in the rooms does not work properly, but the worst part is in the restaurant — they have an AC but never turn it on, even when I asked for it. We had to eat while sweating like a horse, which was absolutely disgusting. I have never experienced that in any other hotel. • 24/7 bar problem: While it’s good they have a 24/7 bar, it’s unacceptable that the employees keep telling you to “stay quiet” in a 24/7 bar because people are sleeping. If you don’t want guests to talk or be a bit loud, then don’t open a bar 24/7 — or maybe don’t build the hotel with paper-thin walls. • Food quality: The food was the worst I have had in a Turkish hotel. One day it was decent, the next day it felt like they just gave up. The “à la carte” is not really à la carte — there is no menu and no choice of dishes, only a choice between Turkish, Italian, or fish nights. I’m not even sure they know the meaning of à la carte. The service was also lacking — they didn’t even take away dirty plates (see attached picture). 😂🤦🏻‍♂️ • Noise in rooms: If you’re in your bathroom, you can hear every single word from the room next door. It’s “wonderful” to take a shower or try to relax while listening to shouting in a language you don’t understand — and of course, no one tries to quiet them down. I couldn’t sleep after 9:30am because every single step in the hallway was audible. • Hotel guests: Sadly, some guests behaved very poorly. Multiple times, when we were quietly playing cards in the lobby, a random guest came up in a hostile manner telling us to be quiet, as if he wanted to start a fight. Another time, while I was simply adjusting my shorts in the restaurant, a man almost slapped me — for no apparent reason. Many guests acted like they “owned” the place just because they paid for an all-inclusive stay. I discussed this with other guests, and they agreed with my observations. • Management: The employees themselves are nice and polite — the real issues are caused by certain guests and the management. The manager doesn’t speak English, and when you complain, he literally laughs in your face. For example, for 15 tables at “à la carte” there were only 2 waiters — a complete joke. The so-called à la carte dishes ended up being served at the regular dinner buffet the next day — making it feel like a scam just to make guests eat less. I would rather pay €200–300 more for another hotel, without hesitation. This hotel’s 5-star rating is not justified — maybe the size of the building deserves it, but everything else is more like a 3-star experience. Also, if you have more than 15 IQ points, you can clearly see that many of the overly positive reviews are fake.

We arrived at Seslife Bucket Hotel on a Saturday 19th July 2025, and as frequent visitors to Turkey (this was our fifth time), we were shocked by the poor conditions and overall experience — by far the worst we’ve ever had in a so-called 5-star hotel. Upon arrival, we were placed in a room with a broken and cracked shower hose, a leaking bathroom faucet, and directly above 18 kitchen ventilators, which made constant loud noise and gave off a terrible smell. We couldn’t even keep our balcony door open. We initially thought a room change might solve these issues — but we had no idea what was still to come. The next morning, we went for breakfast and were absolutely disgusted. We have never seen such dirt and mold in a hotel restaurant. The place was clearly neglected — dirty floors and food counters, and even mold inside the fridge where they kept the yogurt drinks. It was truly unsanitary and revolting. I don’t even want to imagine what the kitchen must look like. The food selection was very poor and can’t be compared to any other hotel we’ve visited in Turkey. We then explored more of the hotel and headed to the Spa area, where we were greeted with another shocking scene: mold around the pool, peeling plaster, and holes in the walls. The showers and toilets were filthy — broken toilet seats, moldy and dirty shower corners (see photos). If you enjoy evening entertainment, be warned: there is no proper amphitheater or stage like you'd expect in a 5-star resort. Instead, a few chairs are set up at a small beach bar, and others are oddly placed behind beach showers, so you're basically watching the show through the showers. The beach area is very small, and the sunbeds are packed tightly together, offering no privacy at all. The situation was so bad that, after a difficult negotiation with our travel agency, we were eventually moved to another hotel, which was a huge relief. We honestly couldn't imagine spending our entire vacation at Seslife Bucket. Again, we are not demanding luxury guests. We usually stay at reasonably priced hotels like AQI Pegasos Royal, Green Garden Hotel & Spa, Horus Paradise, all of which have been excellent. But this hotel is a complete disaster, violates basic hygiene standards, poses serious health risks, and absolutely does not deserve a 5-star rating. We strongly do not recommend this place.
