An Honest Review: Stayed 15th-22nd August 2024

We recently stayed at the Granada Luxury Beach Hotel in Antalya as a family of six: three adults, two 15-year-olds, and a 10-year-old. Overall, our experience was positive, but there were a few issues worth noting.

Upon arrival at around 8:30 PM, we were pleased with the smooth check-in process. The staff were efficient and accommodating, ensuring that our rooms were all on the same floor, which made things much easier for us. After check-in, we headed to dinner, where we were greeted with a huge variety of food. The options were plentiful and catered to all tastes, which was a great start to our stay.

Our rooms were spacious, clean, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We were impressed by the daily cleaning service provided by the friendly housekeeping staff, who always ensured our rooms were spotless.

However, our experience by the pool was less than ideal. Despite the hotel’s policy that reserving sun loungers with towels is not allowed, this rule was not enforced. On our first full day, we unknowingly occupied three empty loungers, only to be approached hours later by a couple who claimed the loungers were theirs. They eventually backed down, but soon after, another couple made the same claim and became quite aggressive. To avoid further conflict, as they started pulling the towels from underneath us, we handed them the towels and ignored their behaviour, continuing to use the loungers.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t the end of it; yet another couple approached us with the same complaint. It seemed more than a coincidence, and it left us feeling quite uncomfortable, especially as we were the only people of colour at the hotel at that time. We noticed quite a few stares from other guests, which was unsettling, as though they had never seen people of colour before.

Elvira from guest relations was helpful, however. After hearing our side of the story and reviewing the CCTV footage, she apologised for the behaviour of the other guests and confirmed that we were in the right to occupy the empty loungers. Although her intervention was appreciated, the repeated incidents did put a damper on our pool experience.

The food, while plentiful, was somewhat repetitive throughout our stay. That said, there was always something to eat, and the drinks were freely flowing, contributing to a generally pleasant atmosphere. We were unsure about the advertised two à la carte restaurants, as they didn’t seem to stand out. On a positive note, the Turkish bath and massage were amazing.

The pool area was nice, with two water slides that kept the children entertained. We also spent a day at the pavilion, which was great for taking pictures, though perhaps not worth the extra expense.

The hotel’s location was a plus, with a bustling market right across the street, providing a convenient spot for shopping and exploring local culture. I used my Revolut card throughout our stay, but I would also advise having some cash on hand and exchanging it to Turkish Lira before arriving, as the exchange rates here are quite high.

Overall, I would still recommend the Granada Luxury Beach Hotel. While the issues with sun loungers and some of the behaviour we encountered were disappointing, the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and offered a good selection of food and activities, including a games room and a cinema. The staff, though the majority were not fluent in English, did their best to be helpful, and we did have an enjoyable week here. With a few improvements, this could easily be an exceptional hotel.

Nice clean hotel, but restaurant left much to be desired. Website says 2 A Lá Carte restaurants which is not true, you can get a small menu option at reception to eat at the pier (at an extra cost) which requires 24hr notice but that’s it… Room service was the best option food wise as the buffet restaurant had the same tasteless meals every night. Swimming pool smelled like urine both day & night. Staff at hotel lobby were the most friendly, especially Boran & the waiter on skates. Overall disappointing experience.

We spent a beautiful week at Granada Luxury Beach. Very good service, cleanliness, food, everything, the hospitality of one of the girls at the reception left an impression on us. I recommend this hotel.

The hotel was nice, but I was surprised that most of the entertainment was in Russian. Everything from the disco music and children's activities to the TV and air conditioning system/settings were all in Russian. It's disappointing because we paid a lot, yet couldn't fully enjoy our stay.

Rude service in the pier (Sat 15/6)! Better to avoid this hotel, aggressive staff working there. It doesn’t correspond with price.

Room was well cleaned, but this hotel mainly for russian people. Why...? In disco nights 90 % of music is russian, all comunication goes in russian. Service disapointed, before I was in Antalya "crystal resort" hotel and waitress always come to ask if you want something to dring etc, but there you need to catch them even if it is not busy. In the hotel shops the seller barely speaks english. And about the guy from Spa, when we went to take the towels he forced us to buy some massage, when we reject it, his comunication changed to rude. So we tried to avoid him when crossing by.

Negatvive: focus on one nationality people, poor selection of food, language barrier, service overall

Positive: clean room, kind service in reception, luxury hotel design

It is very beautiful. The hotel is as beautiful as the one in Belek. But the outside is smaller. We like it

Hello🤗🤗🤗I visited this wonderful hotel from 09/06/2020 to 09/15/2020. Everything was very chic and the mood was high throughout the entire holiday. There was a private transfer from the airport from the hotel and back, we got there in an hour, we were given a room immediately upon arrival. The hotel area is not large, but everything is placed compactly; I was very pleased that I didn’t have to spend a lot of time moving around. I vacationed at the hotel alone and met many wonderful people. I visited the spa every day. I went on a wonderful excursion to the city of Kibira and Lake Salda on my birthday, it was recommended to me by our good hotel guide Ekaterina, thank you very much to her, you can pay for excursions with a MIR card. I would also like to mention the lighter girl of the coolest animator, Polina. Beach sand sea was plus 30 I'm delighted. Thank you for a wonderful holiday and for a wonderful birthday, I will definitely come back again.
