'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach

While the staff was quite friendly and the lobby area was very nice, I was quite disappointed with the lack of cleanliness of the rooms for the price I paid. The room smelled damp and musty and Housekeeping did not vacuum my room the entire stay. The elevators, areas in front of the elevator, and hallways were full of sand daily. It seems there was minimal effort in terms of cleanliness. I wiped down the doorknobs, light switches, and phone and there was dirt left on the antibacterial wipes I used to clean, so that tells me housekeeping does not clean thoroughly after each stay. In addition, the pool/bar area closed at 10pm each night, including weekends, and the site stated midnight. Lastly, Saturday night at the bar area on the 5th floor, there were large roaches crawling around. The comment by one of the staff was “yeah, they come out at night”.

As a result, I will not stay at this hotel ever again, nor will I recommend it. For the rate charged for the rooms, I expected much more.

Nice live performance by the pool and good location

I booked oceanview(paid extra) but it was more like building view. Only saw the ocean in between the big buildings.
