Doubletree by Hilton Downtown Hotel

Our family of four recently spent a night at the DoubleTree by Hilton near Little Tokyo, and our experience was, on the whole, satisfactory. The hotel certainly met our basic needs, though it didn't leave a particularly strong impression one way or the other.
The highlight for many, I'm sure, is the location. Being within easy reach of Little Tokyo was a definite advantage, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the local culture and cuisine without much hassle.

The room we had accommodated our family adequately, it felt a little tight on space for 4 people as we had 2 people on each of the queen beds. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, but the overall aesthetic and furnishings felt somewhat dated.
An example are the TVs - they aren't smart TVs but have Direct TV so it felt very 1990s. Most hotels now you can scan your YouTube account or log in with Netflix.

Service throughout the hotel was generally efficient and courteous. Staff members were helpful when approached, though interactions were more functional than particularly warm or engaging. Check-in and check-out processes were straightforward and quick.
We opted to explore the diverse dining options in Little Tokyo rather than eat at the hotel restaurant.

In conclusion, the DoubleTree by Hilton near Little Tokyo offers a dependable option for families seeking a conveniently located hotel. It provides the standard amenities and service one expects from the Hilton brand, but it lacks a certain spark or modern touch that would elevate it beyond simply "average." If location is your primary concern and you're looking for a solid, no-frills stay, this hotel is worth considering.

Pleasant stay overall, nice interior and pretty good selection at the breakfast buffet.

The surrounding area was a bit iffy, but the hotel was right by Little Tokyo and Chinatown, hence trying out different Asian cuisine was very convenient.

Overall, pretty solid experience.

Clean room with excellent location.

Hotel location is within walking distance to a few metro lines. There are also many restaurants nearby, especially in Little Tokyo which has many great food options. We enjoyed our 4-nights stay in this hotel overall.

Hotel is close to little tokyo, grand central, the broad. Plenty of restaurants around. City hall and other government buildings are nearby. Room is clean. Free chocolate chip cookies, which are one of the yummiest. Toiletries are provided. But we were only given 2 bottled water for our 5 night stay. They don’t have electric kettle and for us who need to drink warm water every morning is a big inconvenience. Luckily we booked a bigger room and it has microwave oven. It’s an old hotel so the room and the bathroom need some renovation but the cleaning lady did her best to make the room clean and tidy.

Very clean room and new facilities. Microwave is included! Across the road are a bunch of Cantonese restaurants.
While the noise from the neighbor was very annoying in the early morning and we were woke up and it was a bad experience.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights (10-12 Nov) during our business trip, booking two king-bed rooms.

The hotel’s location was around 1.5 miles from the downtown.

The front office staff, as well as the room service team, were very friendly and attentive. They were always willing to listen to our queries and resolve them with a smile.

The only issue we encountered was the lack of an in-room bottled water, dental kit and slippers, which are typically provided in hotels outside of the USA but 2 bottles of water everywhere except DoubleTree By Hilton! While we understand that this may be due to the country’s policies, it can be somewhat inconvenient for travelers who are accustomed to these amenities.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel for its excellent location and great service.

Breakfast is good but hotel is Abit aging and rundown. Because I am for biz and the price and location i still able to accept
