Loved the feature to order room service, house keeping, extra towels, and not having to wait to speak to an actual person.
This AI automated system was easier and convenient.
Whenever housekeeping did stop by in person by knocking, and I asked them to return in a few mins as we were stepping out, they seemed to ignore the service those days.
I left my laundry in a bag for service as well with the paper filled out on what items needed to be washed, and my request was ignored for over 3 days.
Ended up having to take my bag to a laundromat myself (my infant had thrown up several nights so we had lots of shirts to wash) that was the only fault of deducting a star.
Other than that, service elsewhere was great. The valet was great! Much appreciated to grab our car several times a day because we had an infant and errands to run.

Must be advised that you CANNOT contact the Gates Hotel directly for any reason. Of you need assistance after making your reservation, you will find it basically impossible. Hilton is intent on being efficient, but not effective. That is, Hilton has designed their services model around “call centers” which aren’t able to provide tailored help, but only canned responses. It’s frustrating that a once-great hotel chain has lost its personal touch.

Room was small & outdated but generally pretty clean. Bed was comfortable & shower large & good pressure. Valet service was great, gentlemen were quick to retrieve & friendly. I was traveling alone & enjoyed sitting at the lobby bar for wine & some food at night. The bartender was top notch! Friendly & my wine glass was full!

We are well traveled and appreciate clean, upscale yet affordable hotels. This exemplifies all of the above! The rooms were clean and updated. Yeah, a little small but okay. The front desk snd staff were all so kind and helpful. The food and drinks were amazing! Love the classy but laid back ambiance. Activities and location a plus. Can't believe the complainers. It's great. I'm picky and I'd love the 450.00 rooms, but this is a gem.

Thank Jose and Scott at the front desk for making our trip memorable! Beautiful hotel, perfect location, good food at the restaurant. The pm valet were very unfriendly and we tip in and out. We asked for a luggage cart when we checked in and they didn't provide us with one, we called for the car from the room and 15 min after they didn't pick up the key yet to pull it around! Overall nice hotel.

- I didn't like that my room had no balcony, asked for a balcony room was told that they only had one double bed room with balcony and it was occupied which sucked, also didn't like that waterflow in the shower was slow to drain, didn't like water filling up around my feet, lastly a smart tv would be nice.

If you don't want over spending for a beach front hotel, this one is a great choice. Nice and clean. One block from Ocean Drive. I walked to the Lincoln Revenue too. But you can take free bus to there also. Great experiences for my wife and me over a two days weekend vacation. ?

Pleasant atmosphere, nice rooms, average pleasant staff. The lack of a parking area leaves you little to no choice but to use valet service. Outside dining was a little annoying due to insects. Servers were pleasant also.

As a loyal Hilton member, this is legit the WORST Hilton property I have ever stayed at. The hotel itself is fine but never have I experienced such terrible service!
We arrived early and our room was not ready - no problem, didn't expect it to be. I did however take issue when they stated they would safely store our luggage until the room was ready and I returned 3 hours later to find it sitting exactly where we had left it instead of in a locked room.
Upon getting to our room we found that there were only two towels. My husband called the front desk for more. After multiple calls to the front desk that went unanswered we finally reached them. Only problem being that they never brought any additional towels!
Left the hotel at 10AM to return at 5:30PM to a room that hadn't been cleaned. They finally cleaned our room at 8PM but then left us with only ONE towel (is there a national towels shortage that I'm unaware of?!?), a dirty/wet bathmat, and no shampoo/soap/lotion. Tried to call the front desk, but surprise surprise - no answer!
Almost forgot - got into the elevator with my husband and another guest only to go down three floors and have housekeeping push an ENORMOUS bin of foul smelling garbage into the elevator to ride down three floors with us scrunched up into the corners! Classy!
This place is a total joke and way over priced. Would never stay here again!

Love the atmosphere and new decor. Looks awesome! Rooms were small but very clean and updated. Only problems were with the breakfast coupons—Hilton honors member and didn’t receive any in the beginning. Also needed a simple bandaid and said they didn’t have any (hard to believe there is no first aid kit around) ☹️ Overall not a bad place to stay. After having to valet every single time and all the extra services, make sure you have a lot of extra cash to tip. Would much rather have self parking and closer location to the “free chairs”.
