The Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne, Hotel

Marriott Loyalists - Best to avoid this property. I travel a lot for business and as such, I'm used to the perks of being a high level loyalist. All of those perks are missing here, and many other issues were observed. I booked my stay during a flash promo that included a $300 resort voucher--that was missing upon check-in and the staff seemed unconcerned with the issue and though I was booking the stay while I was on the phone with them, they refused to honor it less than 48 hours after the call. A call to Titanium Elite service yielded a $200 resort credit, which covered two days of breakfast for 2 adults.

Absent were room upgrades--even a decent room. Resort view is really just the view of the restaurant roof. Absolutely abysmal. Furniture in the room had seen its best days in the early 2000s, clearly.

Also absent is lounge access unless you foot the added fee--a standard benefit for virtually every other property.

The pools were rather nice and the beach is phenomenal. Service is hit or miss. Some employees were amazing and kind, while others (sometimes in their desire to be helpful) provided misinformation, or stonewalled in an effort to run-up the bill.

I won't be staying here again. The family and I ended our stay early and moved to the Hotel Beaux Arts downtown--our experience there was phenomenal and consistent with what I've come to expect from Autograph properties.
