The room type should be the most expensive in the hotel. Check-in was delayed until 5:30 pm. The mattress of the king-size bed in the guest room collapsed in half. I complained to the hotel, but the mattress was not replaced in time. Later, I found that the sliding door lock on the first floor of the guest room could not be locked. It was not repaired that night. The lock was replaced the next morning. The coffee cup was not cleaned. You can clearly see the coffee stains on the cup. The round table in the living room was not wiped clean. The sticky stuff on it got on my computer and it was disgusting. Overall, I will not book this hotel next time. Disappointed

I called twice and was told they would refund me because I was overcharged, but I never got a refund.

The room is a bit old, but the hotel lobby and breakfast are good. The service is average.

No coffee maker in rhe room
Very poor soundproofing. I woke up because of iphone ringing in the next room.
Just a few amenities available in the bathroom.
Frontdesk smiling & friendly but with 0 effectiveness. So fake.
The amount blocked on the credit card was 3 times more than the ammount they said they will block. Even so everyday they try to block 100-200$ more. All this with a prepaid booking.
Everytine they fail to load the nights in Bonvoy.
One week after the checkout with 0 balance they have charged 55$ without any details. Happend every time.
The 3rd time I stay at the Edition in 6 months. I got all these above, every time.
Only a few rooms with balcony.
Far from being a 5* resort.

This is not my first time staying here. The service attitude is very good.

I loved my stay at the Edition - the customer service was excellent, the food was great, room and bed were comfy, the amenities were plentiful and the location was great. Every single staff member that I encountered was super nice and helpful. I ordered room service two nights and both times it was excellent (pepperoni pizza and cheeseburger). Pool area was beautiful and I liked the mix of vintage and modern architecture. Starbucks right across the street was a nice plus.
Full disclosure, I won a stay through a sweepstakes so I did not pay for my stay - however, I did pay for all of the extras, meals, etc.

An exclusive location, crazy expensive, but luxurious with courteous and customer-oriented staff. Very close to the beach, good amenities. A certain mishap with my room service was corrected in a gracious and courteous way.

Unfortunately our experience did not live up to expectations.
I will start with the positive things of staying there:
1) location is at the beach and in less crowded area compared to other hotels
2) Rooms are spacious
3) There are 2 pools with different dipth to accommodate kids
4) There are 6 bikes to use for free ( up to 2 h a day)
Now the disappointing side came from a multiple things we experienced throughout our stay that I am gonna list below:
1) We arrived at 10 am from a long trip and bc of their check in policy we did not get in the room till after 3.30 pm (understandably)
2) for 2 consecutive days we did not get any replenishment of the bathroom shampoo, body wash etc,...so they have to bring us a bag full of them per our request
3) TV remote did not work properly and had to ask twice to replace it's battery. Still after they replace it or put new batteries the remote did not work so maybe it was a problem with the TV itself ( room#817)
4) Bed and pillows are very uncomfortable. Honestly that was the worst part for me. I was told by one of the manager on check out that they could have helped if I have mentioned it to them on day 1.
5) The location of the hotel is nice and more on a quiet block but also it's a far walk from a lot of amenities like pharmacy, restaurants etc,..if that matters to you
In general this was my personal impression of the hotel and I am sure some other ppl have more positive experience. For me I would not come back again bc I expected better stay than what I have received.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Miami Beach EDITION for a friends' 40th birthday weekend. The service was awesome, from the front desk to housekeeping to the pool to the restaurant and bar. The room was spacious and clean. The location was also great, close enough but yet far away enough from the hustle of South Beach. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to visit Miami.
