Gabriel (server) was pleasant and helpful and the best part of the dining experience. The manager had no answers, split up our party to get us seated (late) and offered no explanation.
With the amount that our party spent, it was not worth the lack of customer service! I definitely don’t recommend Jaya at Setai to anyone looking for a good customer service experience! Do better team!
I'm disappointed that the hotel allows smoking in the bar area. I propose that the hotel designate separate zones for smokers and non-smokers. This would ensure a more enjoyable experience for families, children, and non-smoking patrons.
Hotel management should consider this feedback, as it's a significant concern for many non-smoking guests.
I live around the corner so I’ve had friends staying at the Setaï and I know from visiting them that the service and amenities are great 👍🏽 Also beach chairs are very spaceful
And they provide nice extra add ons.
That being said, as a neighbor I come here often and I always enjoy when I see ALEX FURRER The GM: he is always on top of things and I’ve noticed when he is there, everything is impeccable.
Today I tried the bottomless brunch and let me tell you it didn’t disappoint: caviar, oysters, finest meats and fish A VOLONTÉ !!!
It’s really worth it. Fresh buffet with endless combinations.
FARIS set us up and ensured we had the best time ever. Very professional.
SPECIAL MENTION AND SHOUT OUT TO CARL: no matter how busy it gets this guy is always smiling, super helpful, he really provides premium service when others are just drained you will never have an average experience if he is your waiter and he is such a huge asset to the Setaï team.
I sincerely hope they know the difference that employee makes 🙏🏽
And of course the best cocktails come from my favorite mixologist DOMINGO …
Everyone raves about his cocktails creations, consistency and upscale touch.
To sum it up, as a resident, if you’re not sure where to go, I attest The Setaï is one of the best hotels and restaurants In Miami hands down ✨
Upon arrival, we were denied valet service because of our vehicle, a Chevy Colorado. We were told it was “too big,” yet we clearly saw larger luxury vehicles, like Range Rovers, being accepted without issue. The valet attendant’s expression made us feel judged — not based on the size of our vehicle, but the brand and type. He instructed us to park in a nearby lot, but when we got there, it was closed. We drove around looking for parking, stressing as our appointment time approached.
We called the spa to explain the situation and were told valet was indeed available. When we mentioned our truck had been turned away, the staff seemed surprised and said that shouldn’t have happened. They kindly offered to call the valet manager — only then were we allowed to park, but the attitude from the valet was dismissive, as if they were reluctantly doing us a favor.
Once inside the spa, our experience was wonderful. The service and ambiance were exceptional.
Would I return? I’m not sure. The way we were treated before even stepping inside left a bitter taste on what should have been a special and memorable day.
As a luxury hotel designer myself, the design of the Setai could be way better. Service is terrible - rude and plays favorites based on who they think will tip. IE: My sister and I ate at the buffet one morning (very plain buffet, nothing special at all) and they didn't pay nearly as much attention to us as when we ate with my dad... WE HAD HIS MONEY and we are very experienced in fine dining and luxury hospitality. I find this staff unprofessional and rude as all the places we stay and dine with him, we've never been treated as unfairly as these guys treated us our entire weekend stay...
I gave 3 stars and not one because I enjoy the bathtub in the bedroom. It was also my birthday weekend and they gave me champagne and dessert :)
Brunch, a massage and a nap! Woo woo
