Residence Inn by Marriott Orlando at SeaWorld

Stayed here for 2 nights while in town for New Years. Chose this hotel after seeing some good reviews and the price being a bit lower than closer properties. However, we were very disappointed and have put this place on the "never again" list. The "clientele" is interesting to say the least. My husband would not allow me or my kids to walk the halls without him. The smell of marijuana is all over the hallways and the place absolutely stinks!! The rooms are large and the price is affordable, but not worth it in our opinions. We have exterminated at least 5 roaches we've found in the bathroom/vanity area. I know it's Florida, but we are on the 3rd floor and there's no balcony so I have no idea how they're getting in. It's actually gross and disturbing. There are stains all over the furniture and I wouldn't dare walk barefoot on the carpet. Call me bougie...but for anyone who just wants to sleep with peace of mind, please don't stay here.

I stayed at this hotel for a week and was very disappointed with its quality. We noticed several small cockroaches in the room, particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. The hallways had a strong smell of cigarette smoke, and the breakfast was below average. While the service was acceptable, the staff could improve their attentiveness and problem-solving skills. The high price seems justified only by the location, as the overall quality was subpar. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I was staying here for 2 days to go to SeaWorld. The smell of weed here is so strong and thick it is making me sick. The rooms are very far from the hotel lobby and breakfast area. At least the breakfast is decent and they have nice pools and a court.

I am a Platinum member of Marriott and we stayed at this property in March 2018. The property is very conveniently located to the parks, the new renovations are very nice, the property is very clean. The breakfast buffet is well run, clean and good quality food. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a better room proactively by the staff. We did, however, have numerous issues with our room, including a water leak that required 5 days to repair and dry out the carpet and several housekeeping issues for multiple days. The hotel was sold out during the stay, so maybe this contributed to the issues. We were disappointed with the responsiveness of the hotel management to our issues. However, we would recommend the hotel, on the assumption that our room and housekeeping issues were isolated and not the norm, because overall, the property is very nice and convenient. We would have rated the property with 5 stars had we not had the issues we faced, but we must rate it lower based on our personal experience and the overall lack of responsiveness by management to the issues. We contacted Marriott's Customer Care, and they were in agreement with the issues we encountered, but, at the end of the day, there is only a certain amount of oversight that Marriott can provide, leaving customer issues/resolution to the management/ownership of the property.
