5 Vintage Guest House

As a solo traveler who has visited over 15 countries, I can honestly say this is one of the best places I have ever stayed—maybe the best.
I stayed in a private room (not a dorm), and shared the kitchen, patio, and bathroom areas. Everything was incredibly clean, well-organized, and honestly decorated like something straight off Pinterest! Cozy, aesthetic, and super comfortable.
They offer laundry facilities (you can do it yourself), and the shared kitchen always had snacks like cookies, cakes, croissants, cereal, and coffee—such a thoughtful touch for guests.
The location is also great—central but peaceful. Easy to commute around Sofia, whether you're walking or hopping on public transport.
The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They went out of their way to assist me with booking tours from Sofia. I ended up doing the 7 Rila Lakes and Rila Monastery tour with their help—it was amazing. Their local knowledge really enhanced my experience.

Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates beautiful spaces and a warm, organized atmosphere.

Great location, stylish rooms and the kitchen/living room area with coffee, tea and snacks is great. Excellent value for money.

They were good about getting the check-in information outside of desk hours. They have a washing machine, but have a lot of rules around being able to use it. It was very close to the main pedestrian street. The common kitchen was super cute and stocked with coffee and snacks.

It's located in a quiet neighborhood but it's very close to city centre, so most attractions are walkable. Staff is nice and helpful. Snacks and water are provided in the common kitchen. There are also multiple cats, although they're not close to humans.

Excellent stay and the perfect location. Bed was comfy and everything was so clean.

Our group of 7 adults and 2 children had an excellent stay. The apartment was spotlessly clean, wonderfully quiet, and centrally located– everything was within walking distance.

The accommodation was clean and new, there were disposable slippers, also a bottle of water. Everything was done with taste. There is a coffee machine in the kitchen and the coffee is free, also sweets.

This is such a lovely, beautiful place. The rooms are very well decorated, the bathroom is beautiful, the kitchen is well equipped and has some free snacks. The hotel is well located, very close to the subway station.

The only downside is that the reception isn't 24h. But the receptionist was extremely friendly and nice.

Very nice place in a good location, in the city centre of Sofia. The neighbourhood is very quiet but at the same time you are very close to the main attractions in the city centre.
Rooms are not huge but beds are comfortable. The host provides the rooms with towels. Also, sharing spaces are nice. There are 2 showers and 2 toilets, which is ok. We never had to wait to use any of those. Plus, there is a small kitchen (microwave, boiler, sink, oven, coffee maker etc), which is a plus. Finally, free coffee, tea and snacks

Cozy, clean. The hotel is located in the city center, so everything is within walking distance. I will definitely come back.
