Fantastic accommodations, I really can’t recommend this place highly enough. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were clean and well kept. Check in was super easy. Beds were comfy and the location is super close to everything. As a solo female traveler, I felt very safe the entire time I was here. Because of an unexpected change in travel plans, I ended up staying an extra night in a different room, and both were fantastic! Also, there were a few very cute kittens living in the courtyard :)

This is definitely the best hotel I’ve been. Great, helpful staff, the shared kitchen has everything and the room I stayed in had an en-suite which is massive bonus for a little extra cost. The location is also top tier as it’s quiet but around the corner from the main high street which is full of great shops whilst being secure. Would definitely stay again. I only can show what the view is from the shared kitchen balcony which in my opinion is not bad at all.

Wonderful little hotel / hostel a few minutes walk from the very centre of Sofia. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented with friendly and helpful staff.
The rooms are well sized and the communal areas are generously equipped and provisioned.

Very cute design, affordable hotel. It's well taken care of, cozy and comfortable. Free access to tea, coffee, bottled water and snacks and it's like a hostel in that you can cook or warm up food on the hob/oven/microwave.
There's a booth outside where you can self check in but that didn't work for me so I just met the receptionist as she was coming downstairs.
I had a shared bathroom which was clean, so was room. Quiet, central location.
Would definitely recommend.

Cozy and welcoming place located in a strategic point. The interior design is very well thought and it presents an inviting atmosphere. The staff was very kind and reliable during our stay. Very recommended!

We have had a horrible experience when arriving at 5 Vintage guesthouse in Sofia. As scheduled, we arrived around 10:30 pm, only to discover that the bedsheets and bedside table in our room were covered with mice excrements and a cockroach crawling on the left bed. This was highly unsettling and there was no staff to help us as we were made aware that the reception closed at 10pm. We contacted the emergency contact number to no avail.
Given the circumstances, we felt obliged to leave the guesthouse at midnight and find alternative accommodation nearby with availability. This unexpected inconvenience disrupted our plans and was far from the experience we anticipated when choosing the guesthouse.
As cleanliness and guest comfort should be top priorities we requested a refund for the inconvenience caused. Staff were extremely rude and have failed to help us on the two visits we paid them on the following days, citing that the manager was on vacation “far away” and that they couldn’t contact her.
They advised us to contact Booking.com directly. But this was just a trick to defer the responsibility onto them. When we contacted Booking they informed us that there was nothing they could do about it as the guesthouse had rejected our request for a refund pretending they offered us an upgrade while they only offered an alternative room on our second and final night.

it's in a great location. about five minutes away from the metro also five minutes away from the bus and about two minutes away from the main strip I think with access to Food, ice cream and also shopping.
each floor has individual rooms for yourself. has a shared communal area with seating a TV. also has a dishwasher, a fridge ,a microwave and an oven. free tea and coffee with an expresso machine for you to use with pods.

Amazing guest house! Clean and tidy. Great location, 3 minutes from the high street. Unlimited

Personally, didn't stay in the guesthouse. My guests did.
The story begins as I have to plan and organize the transportation for two archaeological students from Stobi, Macedonia to Sozopol, Bulgaria. They're both American girls that would like to have a taste of Sofia's culture and atmosphere. While on the ride from Macedonia to Sofia we have decided to have them to stay for 2 nights and my employer booked "a room in a hostel" for them (his words). I immediately grew weary of this as I know the quality of Sofian hostels. When we got to the place I was extremely surprised and so were my guests because I lowered their expectations beforehand. The lady on reception was extremely nice, a bit twitchy but quite an honest and direct individual. I did enjoy chatting with her later, turned out she was the owner of 5 Vintage, woah. It was a bit embarrassing as all of us reacted on how amazing the place is and I couldn't tell her that I didn't have the time to research the place. The girls told me later that they've never been to a better accommodation in their life. I'm gonna skip describing the interior, exterior, services, the vintage aesthetics or the free candy on almost every table - it's just a very good place that is handled with love and care. It's amazing when you can feel so strongly somebody's life work. Or at least that's what we felt.

I stayed recently in a shared room and would happily stay there again. Perfect location just of Vitosha Blvd you can walk everywhere, perfectly clean, well-pointed in terms of facilities, nice environment, extremely helpful staff too.
