Excellent location for those just passing through; a single night's stay might not be enough to give a comprehensive review, but the hotel is very large, renovated and adapted to modern standards, especially considering its communist-era origins

Evening staff seemed bothered by questions regarding the spa.   • Cocktail Bar: Staff here was very kind and friendly.   • Spa Staff: Described as serious, speaking only the bare minimum of words

Everything we tried was really good. The casino itself is very luxurious and impressive. We really enjoyed the overall experience there. One thing to know is that there are no free alcoholic drinks in the casino

When we arrived, we found out that the pool is part of the spa, and entry to the spa costs 40 euros per day. If having a pool is important to you, make sure to include the spa cost in your budget planning

The second restaurant is Asian, and we liked it so much that we even left a separate review for it. The food is very diverse, with lots of Asian options like sushi, fish, and also plenty of meat options

One is the casino restaurant, which is a full restaurant where anyone can order food. If you are playing in the casino, you earn points that you can use to eat there for free, which is a nice bonus

To access any floor in the elevator, you must scan your room card, and it only allows you to go to your specific floor. One important thing to mention is that on Booking the hotel has a pool

The room was huge and very comfortable. Cleanliness was on a very high level. Every single day a cleaner came in and even washed the shower properly with cleaning materials

In general hotel was nice but my experience from the breakfast was very poor. To be honest the service did not clean the tables, it was very difficult to find the rable without leftovers from the food of predecessors

Additionally satin stairs were full of stains. It was visible that somebody spoilt something on the seat or grabbed the back of the chair with his dirty hand

We stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour. 10-12 July 2025 The room: was comfortable. We reported it and were told we could change rooms or have it repaired the next day. We chose to wait until the next day

Alegro Lobby Bar: the female bar person working in there was extremely rude. And she didn't make the cocktails with all ingredients listed. I was very nice in my request and she was still rude

The curtains doesn't make the room very dark but still acceptable. Breakfast is okay and the hotel staff very helpful in particular Vasco at the concierge. There is a nice casino connect to the hotel lobby

Although advertised as four star hotel it's nowhere near. The rooms are average, cleaning service don't come every day and the bins near entrance are usually full of garbage

The location was idyllic - right in the centre of town and just at the end of the main pedestrian street. The building is historic, grand and majestic - and our room was lovely

We stayed for 3 nights at Sogia Balkan Palace. I must say that I am honestly really impressed from this hotel. The value for money is off the charts her

The rooms, breakfast and most of all the location! are absolutely great!! But more that all of that is the service and the staff, so nice, helpful and understanding beyond any expectations!! This is definitely going to be our go to location in our next stay in Sofia and I can't wait for it

The best things about this hotel -The location, absolutely superb (in the middle of the city center and great views) and breakfast (so many options and variety of different foods, all very tasty, especially delicious mini pancakes and pastries)

NOT Connected to our service but more of a point of note. We booked online and ticked boxes for special requests - No Nuts - No meat and such like, but this did not appear that the staff knew this

We stay here regularly when visiting family. The rooms are lovely - well decorated and spacious. The staff are very thoughtful and the customer service is excellent

The newly renovated Hilton Sofia is stylish and comfortable, with beautiful design in the garden, lounge, and rooms. The beds are extremely comfortable

Both the OXBO restaurant and the Regale Bar were exceptional, offering great food, atmosphere and top-notch cocktails. We’ll definitely be returning next year when we come back to visit family and friends in Sofia

Hotel is perfectly located in center Sofia, service is good but not as attentional as what I’m used from Intercontinental… you would expect exceptional attention service from the hotel

You can walk everywhere to get around(important and interesting places). Very comfortable bed(mattress, pillows). The first night it was hot under the duvet. The rooms are comfortable and cozy

It was fitted with all the aqua techs which provide so many massage options. There's also 2 types of saunas, a salt room, a steam room and even a ice tube filled with ice. The food at the hotel restaurant was amazing

So I went down and spoke to Daria, who listened to my concerns and personally took me to the restaurant so that I can order something from the restaurant menu that I really wanted to take back to the room which is not supposed to be done

There's even a divider between the bathroom to the rest of the room so it felt like staying in a junior suite instead. The facilities were amazing, best indoor pool I've been to ever

The service was so good because I was very frustrated and hangry as the QR code and the TV ordering system didn't work and I called the restaurant repeatedly and no one picked up

Diana from In Room Dining even came to deliver the food to my room for me, which actually wasn't her job. I felt looked after and treated like a guest in a 5 star property

To top it up, we decided to have lunch at the hotel restaurant after checked out and met Vladislav, who gave us an amazing service from food to drinks

We reached the hotel about 10am n they graciously gave us an early check-in on a complimentary basis. Their gesture made e stay really nice.

The accommodation is pretty good

The rooms are a bit dark, it is impossible to turn on a brighter light. The air in the room is very dry. Opening the window, despite the noise, did not help: at night, the throat and nose dried out so much that it hurt

This is the best hotel in Europe in this price range. It is located in the best place in the city center of Sofia, walkable to various kind of restaurants of all kinds. 5 minutes walk to subway station

Excellent hotel located in the city center. Huge rooms, I stayed in "Executive room" that looked like a suite. The rooms are clean and and seems renowned. Breakfast is good with lots of varieties

It's located near the Train Station that's why we booked it. But we never used the train (or tram) because we liked to walk, that way we could see more of Sofia

It is located very close to the main train station of Sofia, around 15 minutes walk from the center. But there is a metro stop 50 meters away, so access is very easy for those who don't like walking

A bit run down has been a good hotel in the past but badly needs a refit, but good value and close to the center of Sofia and transport bus and train central stations
