Good hotel with nice rooms. The reception desk was often left unattended, and the breakfasts are served at a nearby hotel, which we weren't told about and found out about from other guests. The room was not serviced for two of the seven days. But it is near a metro station, a busy area just 25 minutes from the central attractions.
1 night stay. Very helpful staff. Excellent location….a 4 minute walk to the metro, places to eat, supermarket and sightseeing. My room was very spacious with 2 balconies overlooking the city. Slept well. Beds very comfortable.
Yes, the carpet needs updating and it would be good to have some tea & coffee to go with the kettle, but hey, I’m sure if you ask they’d provide. Had to borrow a usb charger...
The people who worked there were very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice but if a third person is added, one person needs to sleep on the couch which isn't as comfy as the beds but still a decent option. Overall a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend!
Good value for money compared to the other hotels in the center of Sofia. Check in was fast and without issues. I can recommend it for a night or two. The location is also good, 10 minutes walking to Serdika.
The room was nice, bathroom has everything, except hairdryer. There is a mini fridge in the room stocked with snacks and drinks for a fee. There is no safe in the closet, so had to take my valuables with me all the time. They have breakfast for cheap, but was served at another hotel. The staff are okay, they spoke English well. The location is good and in walking distance to most of what we wanted...
I think it was good value for the money. The staff was courteous even though we had to wait for the night receptionist who remained away for over 15 minutes while the notice stated that she would be back in five. The reception area was without any air-conditioning and difficult to sit in. It was a small place but clean and tidy. The short distance from the bus terminal was also good.

It was very nice, luxurious by my standards and the people there were great! Had a great chat with some foreign students as well!
We just visited the rooftop terrace for drinks- which has stunning views over the mountains, great place to watch the sunset. The staff are very friendly and it’s a very funky cool design inside.
We visited the rooftop bar without being hotel guests. I admit I had greater expectations. The pool is nice but there is no bar at that level. The bar is at the lower level. The view is nothing special - just old and ugly blocks of flats. About the bar - we found it difficult to order anything that is non-alcoholic. The bar offers no food, drinks only.
The restaurant is absolutely astonishing! Best dessert i have ever had - pressed watermelon. 🍉 The food is so fresh and made in front of you by 3-4 chef cooks! The atmosphere is very modern, everything is built with a lot money and style in mind.
Great hotel and friendly staff. The room exceeded my expectations. Sometimes you see a nice room in a picture but in real life it doesn't meet your expectations...this was not the case. Large room and tons of light coming in in the morning for room 509. Would stay here again. Only 20ish minutes to downtown using the subway.
I have stayed here for half a year. The place is great, cleaning is always up to date, the staff is friendly and cooperative. Food and drinks are good and the city center is very accessible with the tram stop in front of the door. Highly recommended!

The ladies from reception very helpful. Daily cleaning, daily change of the towels, parking for the car. A honest price for the room. The metro station it is at 400 m and you can take the metro directely from the airport. There is near an exchange office open untill 5 p.m. Also near are Lidl and Kaufland.
Had a very nice stay, it was very cozy and the food during these Covid-19 times was tasty and nicely packaged. Felt like home.
Conditions of a hotel are ok , the biggest plus for a hotel was breakfast included into the price....but all in all, the price is not worth the room, it should be lower ....they have the underground parking which is also an advantage
Ideal hotel, nice staff and good service. Lidl is next to the hotel for families with kids. The city center is 30min away with the metro. Ideal to park your car by the hotel or nearby Billa supermarket and take the metro which is 10min from the hotel to the city center. Comfortable beds and big bathroom.

The staff is very good, very responsive and very helpful. The hotel is located in a somewhat hard-to-reach place (such as in industrial areas near warehouses) and 10 minutes from the nearest bus stop. But with google maps it is easy to find. The rooms were clean and tidy. The only problem was that it said we had breakfast, but one day the restaurant was closed and they give you breakfast in a bag...

Wonderful customer service, suitable for business trips, free parking. The staff is really well mannered and organized, definitely good price considering everything.
Good location for 1 night stay. It's easy to reach from the highway if you use Google Maps. The room was ok for 36 euro (dbl b&b), bed is super comfy, but the staff is a drawback. In fact it's not different than anywhere else in Bulgaria.
Breakfast was poor, appropiate for the room rate.
Parking is big and look safe.
So, final verdict: choose Astra if you have a car and don't wanna pay too much for...

The bathroom was big and had an amazing shower, the chamber was very big and it was very calm in the hotel.
Breakfast was some slices meat and cheese whit some vegetables and 3 slices bread. The bread was disgusting haha xd; and coffe or tea ofcourse!
The hotel is close to the airport and a 20-25 minutes walking to the stores...

We had specifically requested a double one, and they just said that their colleague had forgotten to remove it from booking as booked. Hotel is ok. Just be careful with floor in the bathroom. It is super slippery when wet. Almost killed myself.
Would definitely recommend this hotel! It's located in a relatively quiet part of the neighborhood. At walking distance from Business Park Sofia. Rooms are huge and very clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful and everyone speaks English. There is private parking in front of the hotel although the places are a bit limited but usually there is more than enough place on the side of the road as well

We arrived late at this hotel without reservation. Staff was extremely nice and eager to help, showing us 3 different rooms. It's a clean hotel with big rooms and comfortable bed. Breakfast was ok, it's not buffet, they have a list selection where you can choose your preference. The view from restaurant it's quite beautiful with Vithosa Mountain and the entire Sofia city. The location it's peaceful...
We popped up at midnight looking for a room. Extremely professional and friendly staff received us and provided us with a beautiful room. Prices are absolutely decent and the quality is there. Breakfast was included with a magnificent view on Sofia and a very good service.
Great stay in the foothills of Sofia. Comfortable bed, helpful receptionist and staff especially the lady managing the diner.

beds uncomfortable for me at least, very clean, they do the job, reception is 24/7 which is good, kinda strange with the restaurant, wouldn't recommend breakfast because you don't get your money worth. Because of its location the prices are good, but the rooms lack natural lighting and the lamps aren't strong with white light. The shower is great, you get your accessories.
Perfect location, cleaned room and friendly staffs, near by hotel there are hidden great restaurants. And don't miss the special coffee shop around there:)

I loved my stay at hotel Zenith. I arrived after midnight, but they waited for me and the receptionist was really nice. Quiet night, large shower, good breakfast, close to the center, that was all I needed. Thanks.
Good location, fast wifi, a huge variety of TV channels (132 channels were available!) for kids, movies, news, talkshows etc. - channels for everything and in many different languages.

Comfortable and affordable. Staff is good, rooms are really nice, and you will get clean air and a nice view of the city.
This hotel is located to the south of Sofia in the shadow of the mountains. Small, friendly, comfortable hotel it has no restaurant at present but there sre cafes and restaurants nearby. Dont trust the lift it is unreliabile. The rooms are large enough and clean. It is a short bus ride to the centre of Sofia and there are walks in the mountains.
Amazing stay, beautiful views and the rooms are great. Love the village atmosphere on top of the big city!

-new extra blankets need ( some blankets are very old and looks dirty), ---
-toilets look old need renovation
-internet is very slow in the room compare to the lobby

Lovely hotel but needs some attention. Krasi was absolutely amazing answering all our questions and suggesting really nice places to visit.
The location is really near to the historical center, you can go there walking. The guy is really nice, he allowed me to guest a couple of friends and their luggage for a few hours in the middle of the night and he arrange the cab for them, he was really nice. The room was big and comfy, and it's really nice that every room has a different city name. Really a great hotel and great staff.
Wonderful owner who is always smiling and who is incredibly helpful. Not great for those with large suitcases or disabilities as it only has stairs but that wasn't an issue for myself. Great location for getting about the city.

A relatively new but run down hotel. Prime but not quiet location. Good size rooms and bathrooms. Basic. Not well maintained. The discount rates are close to good value for money.

The price is ok. Underground parking is a nightmare to get in/get out. I gave up and left the car outside (long one).
Without GPS, guess not easy to find. I asked for twin beds room, but the concierge was not able to find any tooms like that.
Ok to stay 1-2 nights, especially when you are tired.

Amenities - 3 ( parking on site is a plus; the temperature of the water in the shower changes constantly; the lobby is nice; the room looks nice; there was no soap and the dispenser for body wash in the shower was empty; not much else available)

The showers in some rooms are broken (no water pressure, the heat regulator doesn't work often)

No one speaks very good English, the staff is not even aware of the hotel's own services (ie on the way there they were happy to offer a transfer to the Airport but on the way back they said all they could do was to call a taxi). Rooms are very clean but everything is black and the light is poor. It is close to a big shopping centre and Vitosha metro station.
Hotel design is cool but just black and white all the way look a bit weird.
It is nice, clean and just 5-10 min walking distance to one of the biggest shopping centers.
The room might get kind of hot at night as the air conditioning only blow hot air.
Would recommend this place.
Everything was great about the room, but the breakfast WASN'T worth it. Don't order food. Just sleep and enjoy the cool design of the room.

This hotel is a gem! Very cozy, at a central location, few steps from the Metro. The rooms are sparkling clean. Breakfast is awesome, you get good coffee, great food, and most important the staff is really nice and polite. They make you feel welcome, and you get personal attention.

Breakfast was simple but lovely.
Bathroom was spacious, no bath but a big shower and bed was really comfy, only thing I disliked was the separate bed covers but think that's pretty much standard in Europe.
