Decent hotel, but at the same time not special
There are better hotels at the same price
Shower was dirty and there is a leaking issue
Room was barebones and dirty in places, tired carpet and stains etc. Bathroom okay, dated toilet and broken shower head & holder. Check in desk were helpful, but most other staff I encountered were either dismissive or unfriendly.
The money I spent is definitely wasted, they gave me a hard time & they let me wait for more than 6 hours to be checked in, even though I already informed them that I’ll pay early check in. The facility got more than 600 rooms and themsnsher in the reception area, whose name is Kristiyana, lied on me! She said that there’s no room available to think that there were no more than 600 guests on the said...

Stayed at a suit which was quite spacious. Spa facilities particularly sauna was great.
We stayed at the Grand Millennium Hotel in Sofia for New Year celebrations and booked four nights without breakfast.
Honestly, this hotel is on an great and you feel it from the moment you walk in.
The room was huge and very comfortable. Cleanliness was on a very high level. Every single day a cleaner came in and even washed the shower properly with cleaning materials.

Location, the views and some interior worth 5 stars, the rest needs a lot of improvement.
For me it is unacceptable a hotel of this calibre from an investment group of this size to offer such a poor experience.
First, beds were very uncomfortable(this goes for mattresses), duvets and pillows weer of the lowest possible quality, bedlinen also were of poorest quality sateen that can be found on the...
the best luxurious hotel in the city , perfect location , good restaurant choices
Honest opinion: An absolutely outstanding hotel – one of the very best I’ve ever stayed at. Everything was executed to an exceptionally high standard: the room was beautiful, spotlessly clean, and finished with premium materials; every single detail throughout the property showed genuine care and attention. The spa center was excellent. Housekeeping was flawless, the atmosphere luxurious yet welcoming...
Spacious room however low quality amenities. Housekeeping staff was very friendly & professional, same could be said about the concierge.
Reception staff weren’t great however - not the list friendly or welcoming.
Overall, the hotel was well located, with spacious rooms and great restaurants. However, the amenities were lacking and reception staff weren’t as friendly as one would expect from a 5 star...

Although advertised as four star hotel it's nowhere near. The rooms are average, cleaning service don't come every day and the bins near entrance are usually full of garbage. The staff at the reception could be more polite, and in general every evening there are a lot of murky guys and obscure dressed ladies coming into hotel.
Probably will not take this hotel next time I'm in Sofia.
In general hotel was nice but my experience from the breakfast was very poor. To be honest the service did not clean the tables, it was very difficult to find the rable without leftovers from the food of predecessors. Additionally satin stairs were full of stains. It was visible that somebody spoilt something on the seat or grabbed the back of the chair with his dirty hand. Awful.
We stayed here 2 nights as part of a tour. 10-12 July 2025
The room: was comfortable. Our safe did not work. We reported it and were told we could change rooms or have it repaired the next day. We chose to wait until the next day. It was not fixed.
Breakfast: was good. Plenty of options. Coffee good from machine. Staff friendly and very busy.
Alegro Lobby Bar: the female bar person working in there...
Astoria Grand Hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The breakfast is very modest, both in terms of variety and quality. The rooms are outdated, as shown by peeling wallpaper, a leaking shower, and lukewarm water that makes showering unpleasant. In short: the location is good, parking is available (but not free), but the hotel is clearly past its prime and in urgent need of maintenance. It is certainly...
A bit below 4*. Like any 4*hotel in Sophia, the breakfast is poor and the coffee is hardly drinkable. The casino downstairs is a bit out of my taste. Half of the people are nice, half of them are a bit cold, none of them exagerates. Some stuff in the bathroom is occasionally broken or malfunctioning. The nice restaurants are within a 30+ minute walk.

We spend an incredible 2 nights here. The best things about this hotel -The location, absolutely superb (in the middle of the city center and great views) and breakfast (so many options and variety of different foods, all very tasty, especially delicious mini pancakes and pastries). PLUMBING ISSUES & SLOW SERVICE. The building looks lovely, newly renovated and in a great location. It is walking distance to most attractions. We stay here regularly when visiting family. The rooms are lovely - well decorated and spacious. The staff are very thoughtful and the customer service is excellent. The hotel is well placed for both the centre of town and getting out of town on the motorway.
The newly renovated Hilton Sofia is stylish and comfortable, with beautiful design in the garden, lounge, and rooms. The beds are extremely comfortable. As a Diamond member, I’ve visited three times this year because it’s so memorable, and General Manager Stephan Reiter gives excellent recognition. The lounge staff have noticeably improved by my third visit. The only area for improvement would be the...
Great hotel, awesome comfortable rooms. The facilities are great, the bar and restaurant are of good quality. The gym has new equipment and fantastic airconditioning. The sauna and steembath were both great too. The only thing you could miss are a hot tub and/or pool really.
Excellent Hilton hotel in the center of Sofia town, easy to reach from airport with professional staff and good breakfast, very clean and with a very good smell in the hall and in the room, I really want to thank them for the wonderful weekend we had here, if we come back we’ll definitely sleep here. Absolutely recommended
Our stay at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia was truly excellent! Every member of the team went above and beyond to make our visit both memorable and enjoyable. My husband and I — along with our two Labradors — felt genuinely welcomed and wonderfully cared for.

The spa center at Hilton Sofia is cozy, clean, and well-maintained, offering a pleasant atmosphere overall. However, the lighting is too bright for a truly relaxing experience, and the steam bath was disappointing — more like a warm room with barely any steam. I was last at this hotel in 2018. The rooms definitely are somewhat outdated as the bathroom faucet was broken and the toilet leaked. Decent hotel, a bit old. Out of the center about 20 minutes walk. Decent breakfast
The decoration is outdated and does not meet the standards of a five-star hotel
A good hotel, the lobby and halls are very beautiful, the interior is stunning, the park at the hotel is incredibly elegant, very beautiful, a very good place for high-level events, but the rooms in the hotel are quite old-fashioned and shabby, and the room service is also at a very low level. Hotel is perfectly located in center Sofia, service is good but not as attentional as what I’m used from Intercontinental… you would expect exceptional attention service from the hotel. .The room was spacious with contemporary and minimalist design but still very functional. There's even a divider between the bathroom to the rest of the room so it felt like staying in a junior suite instead.

I was very satisfied with everything during my stay. At least the price was right. The room was very clean, the breakfast selection was rich, and the facilities were relatively complete. It is a good choice in Sofia.
Hotel was with good location, the room was quite basic. Good pool & sauna area. Service attitude not the best and the breakfast room was quite messy and not cleaned also small. I can recommend this for a few nights stay in Sofia.

The rooms are very decent. The food was good. The only thing I did not like was that you have to slam the door hard in order to open it and that makes a lot of noise all around the floor.
The hotel is big & has the usual facilities but is very quiet & has a depressing vibe maybe because of the older look. The rooms are big but lack a fresh feel. It needs some renovating. You can easily see the signs of fixes done on the room & a few things need more fixing still.

Free shuttle to the hotel (and from it), you just call the driver (English speaking) and he's there for you in 3 min. Good restaurant! I stayed at this hotel recently and while the location is great close to the airport with a convenient shuttle - there were several letdowns. On the positive side, the food was good, but it was pricey for what you got. Overall, while the...
Convenient for an early flight. This is a standard ibis with clean, functional rooms and straightforward service. Nothing remarkable, but the location—just 10 minutes on foot from Terminal 1—makes it a practical choice if you have a morning flight.
Great experience from the moment I booked the room from the hotel's website. Staff was polite, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The free airport shuttle was very convenient and got me to the airport on time for a very early flight. Breakfast to go was an apple and a ham and cheese sandwich, delicious and fresh. Would definitely recommend!
My flight was spontaneously canceled and so the airline booked me a room in this hotel. the hotel was very close to the center, it was clean but the personnel did not speak good english. communication was not that easy.
I had requested a parking place for my car in their parking lot and they offered me a parking spot on the street in front of the hotel for 19 euros per day and if I left after 19:30 I would not be able to park again.
Too hot
Overall nice hotel but the rooms are way too hot. The A/C does not help and is extremely noisy. I would not recommend this hotel during the warmer months.
Great Location
The location and condition of the hotel was superb! My only criticism was that there was as no air conditioning (cold air) due to the time of the year (March).
This was very tough due to being on a high floor and the window only opened a few inches - it was boiling!
There were no fans provided after I requested this - disappointing
The hotel is very nice, the breakfast is excellent, the only issue was the shower head but it was replaced immediately, and the fact that the lobby was in renovations and we didn’t know about it
The location is very good, close to Central Park and Central Pedestrian Street, next to the subway, and there is a Chinese fast food restaurant not far downstairs. I have stayed here several times. The only inconvenience this time is that the original first floor is under renovation, and the front desk has been moved to the second floor. Very good location and quiet place overlooking the park area.
Great location, friendly staff, convenience of having breakfast.
Overpriced hotel whose heyday was over 30 years ago. The reception staff barely spoke English. You can see from everything that the best before date is long gone. The elevator also got stuck many times and my friend had to wait for help to get out. The panoramic restaurant has amazing views. The waiters were true professionals. Unfortunately, the food was completely overcooked throughout.
