Astoria Grand Hotel is definitely not a 4-star hotel. The breakfast is very modest, both in terms of variety and quality. The rooms are outdated, as shown by peeling wallpaper, a leaking shower, and lukewarm water that makes showering unpleasant. A bit below 4*. Like any 4*hotel in Sophia, the breakfast is poor and the coffee is hardly drinkable. The casino downstairs is a bit out of my taste. Half of the people are nice, half of them are a bit cold, none of them exagerates. Some stuff in the bathroom is occasionally broken or malfunctioning. The nice restaurants are within a 30+ minute walk.

The staff is not willing to take responsibility, so we will not recomend this hotel. While cleaning the room the threw away the lids of the contact lenses box. No big deal IF instead of asking "can you prove it was us" they would simply send someone to get a new box. Probably a one dollar expense... Negative attitude is no way to treat customers...

I didn't like the surface very much as it doesn't bounce the ball much. We are not professionals but it was not very good. It is saved through the online system, which is a big plus and most of the times it is calm, but the unpleasant thing is that when the ball comes out, it takes 1, 2 minutes to get it back since there are nets and it enters the other fields easily.

Great for the price they offer, especially with the breakfast they offer. The reception area has a lot of seating area so you don't have to sit close to strangers and make it awkward for everyone. We had our wedding there and we tried a wide variety of meals and everything was super tasty! The service in the restaurant and the hotel were both impeccable. The environment is pretty good

After spending one week at the hotel, I would say that the experience does not correspond to the image and price of the hotel. The curtains did not cover the whole windows, and it was very bright in the room at 6:00 a.m. The bath robes were not changed as often as officially stated. Did not have a great experience with the staff, either.

This was my second stay in this hotel. Very good value for money, the rooms are good sized, the bed is comfortable and I like the location - 10-15 minutes away from the center by taxi & 5 minutes away from Bulgaria mall and a big Billa shop.

For 1 night, I found this hotel spacious with great value of money. Its location is perfect that you can walk to city centre and convenient if you travel from Sofia airport without interchange. This hotel is quite spectacular and ideally located next to the metro. There is a pool, but you have to pay around £8 to use it. A coffee maker with 2 coffee capsules is available in your room, but you’ll need to buy any cream or sugar to go in it! The hotel is a short walk into the centre.

The reception was very nice and friendly. Didn't feel the room was sterilised. There was body hair in the bath top. It was tidy but the sense of clean just didn't get that feeling. Had to try the key card many times to open the door, very difficult. 5 minutes. Noise from the traffic in the morning but that is normal for Sofia. The layout of the hotel is nice and invite to comfort.

Relation between price and accomodation, fulfill expectations. Room clean and big, in bathroom you have all necessary things. Hotel staff very nice, with veru good english, always ready to assist. Some furniture need to be fixed in room, and room wasn't ventilated well when I arrived. Parking need to be better mark, easily you can enter in wrong one(neighbors underground parking).

Good hotel with nice rooms. The reception desk was often left unattended, and the breakfasts are served at a nearby hotel, which we weren't told about and found out about from other guests. The room was not serviced for two of the seven days. But it is near a metro station, a busy area just 25 minutes from the central attractions.

We just visited the rooftop terrace for drinks- which has stunning views over the mountains, great place to watch the sunset. The staff are very friendly and it’s a very funky cool design inside.

We visited the rooftop bar without being hotel guests. I admit I had greater expectations. The pool is nice but there is no bar at that level. The bar is at the lower level. The view is nothing special - just old and ugly blocks of flats. About the bar - we found it difficult to order anything that is non-alcoholic. The bar offers no food, drinks only.

The restaurant is absolutely astonishing! Best dessert i have ever had - pressed watermelon. 🍉 The food is so fresh and made in front of you by 3-4 chef cooks! The atmosphere is very modern, everything is built with a lot money and style in mind.

I have stayed here for half a year. The place is great, cleaning is always up to date, the staff is friendly and cooperative. Food and drinks are good and the city center is very accessible with the tram stop in front of the door. Highly recommended!

The hotel has extremely friendly and helpful staff ready to assist you at any time of the day. The rooms are classic and accommodated with everything you might need for your stay. But the highlight of my stay was the hotel's restaurant. The menu has vegan and vegetarian options and if you are a meat lover, you should definitely give their beef a try.

Really good hotel, well priced and very comfortable mattresses and good room. However, you'll need to take transport to get to the center. But it is cheap by train and bus and takes barely 20 mins if timed properly

I am happy to share my great experience with the staff of the Zoo Hotel, and their exceptional service. The hotel is with great location and its pricing is very competitive for the comfort paid.
