Santa Marina Holiday Village in Sozopol

We have rented a two bedroom apartment there from Evelina. It was really nice, comfortable, with all small thing that you might need during your stay available. The location of the apartment is great, close to pools and supermarket. Comfortable beds, big terrace.

This is a housing complex, built on the southern side of the Bay of Sozopol, southwest of the town of Sozopol itself. The landscaping is the most impressive part of the whole venue as there is lush greenery surrounding the buildings and they have put quite a lot of work in it. The buildings themselves are nothing special, typical for this part of the black sea coast - siding done with low quality wood (which is already fading and cracking), the occasonal leaky and mouldy ceiling in the bathrooms, warped doors etc. Other yhan the obvious defects, the layout of the apartments is not too bad and they are quite clean. Hot water is not an issue, plenty of towels are available. The biggest downside is the parking spots - they are outside the fenced areas, they are small, on a steep road with little sign that this is an actual parking spot, other than a locking bracket, which you need to lock and unlock every time you leave the spot. This is extremely inconvenient as you will need to haul your luggage up the slope, to the gated entrance and then up or down the stairs. In addition to that you pay 20lv per day - the parking fee is not included in your stay.
We paid 350lv per night for an apartment (two bedrooms and two bathrooms) and breakfast was not included. Spa amenities and pool usage is included.
There are several pools in the area, in various states of niceness - some feel like they were completely abandoned by the administration (the one with the bunker, there are holes on the wooden decking that can easily injure someone), while others look very good and offer jacuzzis, water massage, a bar and a wonderful seaview.
Overall, the whole complex is well thought but cheaply made and I gather it caters to foreighners or Sofia residents. Unfortunately there isn't much to do but if you are looking for a quiet place to chill at - then this is it.

Amazing place with lots of green areas, a lot of great pools and amazing views. Some parking places are very risky in high season due to inclination - I assume most of the cars will be dented by others. Also, some areas are neglected and it starts to show - it is sad to see unusable parks and cracked terrains.
The inside of the complex is in good shape and they also have transportation.

We absolutely loved the overall aesthetics of the village, including the beautiful alleyways, the lush vegetation, and the wonderful pools. Our room had an amazing terrace with a gorgeous view of the sea.
I know some guests mentioned the long distances to walk from one place to another within the village, but we liked it.
The old town of Sozopol is literally 15 minutes away on foot from the Viva Mare restaurant in the southern part of the village. In the northern part, there are public beaches, which are great.
Other things worth mentioning are Arkutino Beach, which is about a 10-minute drive away, and the Ravadinovo Castle.

Nice hotel big and good pools the room was nice. But there were a lot of climbing up and going down which tired me. But overall it was very nice

The staff went out of their way to make us feel at home, often remembering our names and preferences. The complex is very well made. We attended a wedding there. The houses are too expensive and the ones situated on ground floors smell of mold sunk in the walls. Mold is quite harmful for the human body to breathe in, so I recommend that they change the pricing drastically, so that it corresponds to the service offered or at least take care of the unpleasant room smell.
