Tiara Beach in Sunny Beach

I can only think the people rating this hotel high are not English.

The only pros I have :
Comfortable beds
Food choices.

I don't even know where to begin when I'm reviewing this hotel.

First of all, the staff? Need to be trained in respect, or to smile every now and again. Full drink beside the pool? No worries, they'll collect and just throw it away whilst having their headphones in 🤌
Entertainment? Bit of rain and it's all stopped. Nothing else put on for the kids, even though there's a stage inside that's not used.
Housekeeping? Went 5 days in a row with no house keeping - which I think is ridiculous.

This hotel is advertised as an English friendly, I can assure you if you are English you are NOT liked. The guests that stay? God forbid they say please and thank you. They'll get in your way in the food hall and refuse to move - rude rude rude.

Never in my experience have I ever felt so excited to leave a hotel in all my life

Worst hotel I've ever stayed in. The locals, horrible people. Staff, disgusting attitudes with no smiles.

Never will I recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay well away

I have just arrived home after a trip with Jet2 to Tiara Beach Hotel in Bulgaria and I have to say this is the worst holiday I have ever been on. We arrived to the most miserable reception staff I have ever encountered and as the week went on it got worse. None of the staff spoke to anyone. From reception, restaurants, cleaners. Food cold, plastic spoons, sticks to make your coffee with. Food was of cheap quality, incinerated to the point you wouldn't know what you was eating, cakes looked nice till you had a piece and it was solid from age. Coffee machine always playing up and they might decide to mend it in the middle of a busy spell then you got half a cup if you were lucky. The rooms where roomy that's the positive we were informed we had one bottle of water for the week and we had to refill after. But surprise not even a bottle. Good job we take our own coffee for the room as there was nothing in the room not a plastic spoon, or stick. The cleaners of the room came once we had to ask to change the bed. On the other days nothing except to throw the towels on the bed. The gym is supposed to be open at 7am every morning it is stated on the website and every morning trying to get a key off the miserable staff was a stress because the bell boy was asleep. I literally had to argue to get the key with a receptionist swearing under her breath. I tried to get an earlier flight home but was unable. The TV in the room had 2 English channels one for wildlife and history our stick couldn't be used in such an old telly. While we were there they put up reels on Instagram and they were false as it showed food that wasn't even available and sunshine it was raining. Which of course isn't their fault but it's dishonest advertising. So my advice don't bother coming to this hotel or even Bulgaria as it was no better outside.

Weather:
A few good hot days. Others days warm with clouds and also a bit cold with rain and thunderstorms. So a mixed week.

Details below but not the 4star you are expecting.

Food- Not the warmest from the buffet. Mainly pork or chicken on offer for meat options. Veil occasionally for the beef offer. Fruit hard, tasteless not as fresh as it looks with tinned strawberries used. Deserts all taste the same using bright colours instead on focus on the flavours. Salad on offer. Not good information on the food signs. No allergies on the signs.

There is also a snack bar located near the kids small water park lovely building but food not the best. Pizza, chips, lettuce and chicken skewers on offer.

Entertainment- shocking we booked after reading there was good entertainment. First two nights there was nothing. Then there was bingo but you had to pay to take part 10lev (£5), we had a movie quiz night was free to take part but lasted half hour and 1 comedy/acrobat show. Overall 7night with 3 nights of entertainment. 7nights there was a half hour mini disco for the little kids. Day entertainment we have saw Darts, water polo and Yoga take place pretty poor. Most of the time one of the animation team was taking videos of himself doing handstands on the stage. During the day they play music but only an Ed Sheeran album on a loop, and occasionally the weekend album on loop. It gets frustrating after the first few days.

Bar- is great loads of options and a cocktail menu for you to choose from. Water machines located around hotel for water. Coffee freely available from the machines with cups but cups and glasses have been dirty so worth checking.

Security - lock your belongings away. I had a bracelet stolen from the room and the hotel wasn't interested. Only thing they said was there has been no incident in 10years, you must be wrong and left it outside. I saw the maid with my own eyes pick through things next to her trolley and keep things separate to keep. Hotel has a security guard you will see him riding around outside on an electric scooter not showing any regard to security.

Rooms- maid in daily to make bed and replace towels and empty bins. No clean bedding over the week and no other cleaning. Rooms look like they need a freshen up. We had stains on the sheets when we arrived. Not the 4star luxury you would expect.

Resort:
This hotel is around a 5min walk from the beach. 30min walk from the main sunny beach strip. Can get the little train to the strip costing 6lev each way so make sure you are going in right direction. We used the one out the front of hotel and the driver was very helpful. Only takes 10mins to strip. There is some pubs, restaurants and shops all around the hotel and was great to explore.
