Reviews
We had a nice stay, but I would say it's definitely a basic complex to stay on, but had most things for a nice stay.
PROs
Spacious grounds
Lovely apartments
Clean and tidy
Nice big pool
Not too busy (October)
Friendly staff
CONs
For us, none
We messaged in advance of our stay and requested a quieter location on the complex as an older couple.
This was honoured and our apt. (110) was excellent
A separate one bed apartment with large east facing terrace
We got the sun until 2pm , then some nicer shade for the afternoon on the days we chilled at home.
Just right for our needs
We hired a car while here through their reception
Yiannis did all the legwork, contacting the car people on my behalf and was very helpful
Anna on reception was also a diamond, nothing was too much trouble for our questions etc.
We have a late flight and are allowed to keep our room until pick-up which makes a good end to a very enjoyable stay.
The cleaners do a wonderful job, keeping the rooms tidy.
Always pass by with a friendly wave and little chat.
Same goes for the groundskeepers.
All very polite and friendly.
There is a small gym here, free to use and a payable sauna, although the Cyprus heat gets those pores opened up in any case.
Great beaches nearby (Macronissos and the two beaches east & west of the new marine are our favourites)
Landa Beach is a 20min stroll and those wanting Nissi, just the next beach along.
Away from the nightlife of Ayia Napa, but there are taxis galore and the OSEA Buses run frequently and are very cheap.
There’s an on site supermarket for your essentials.
Slightly overpriced, (only if you want to self cater) you can get to Lidl , Metro etc. by car or the buses if you want a big shop
+ there is Wolt App for online shopping you can consider.
The kitchen in our apt. had a 2 ring hob, with all the pans, utensils needed and there’s a fridge for your cold storage.
Some or the apts have microwaves, we read that these more modernised apts. have showers and we enjoy the use of a bath, so didn’t bother us.
Onto the pool bar / restaurant.
Our main hosts on the evenings we visited were Louise & Kumar.
They were both fabulous and couldn’t do enough for you.
Very chatty and arranged dishes and drinks that weren’t actually on the menu.
Nikos the manager is friendly and approachable, and a shout out to the rest of the staff in the background. 👍
Our first weekend, there was karaoke 🥱, but in typical Brit fashion we ended up on the Mic. , singing a few songs to get the quiet crowd gee’d up
It was fun.
We look forward to staying with you again very soon.
In a great area 2 beaches within walking distance, buses very regular in to Ayia Napa and Protaras. Very cheap aswell and only a 2 minute walk to bus stop.
Few local restaurants and bars close by which serve lovely food.
Only downside is that our room wasn't very clean and we were there for 10 days and the floor was not cleaned once. Beds changed and clean towels most days if not every other. But they do need to clean better that's why given 4 stars. But overall very good hotel and stay. Would return.
- cleaners: usually unsung heroes in resorts all over- they have been great with us and even given us extra towels
- pool cleaner: top notch guy who gave me a few tips on how to clean pools and let me have some fun with the hoover
- reception: the lady from Glasgow is beyond lovely and the lady who works the morning shift has been nice, helpful and always willing to support in whatever way.
We stayed in 606, a studio apartment, great in size, with air con and with a generous terrace facing south east, loved getting the morning sun as well as the evening sun that used to dry up towels. The resort has it all: gym is small, it's ok to work out lats, quads and glutes. However, there is a volleyball court and tennis court. I used the pool on my way back from morning runs to freshen up and it was great. The resort is located just outside Ayia Napa within walking distance to one of the best beaches in the area: Macronissos. Landa beach is an amazing golden sand beach about 10 to 15 min walk and Nissi beach is just over the rocks from Landa. It's perfect location if you want some quiet whilst enjoying amazing spots nearby. The resort offers the opportunity to rent bikes for €10/day which was great to discover the surroundings of Ayia Napa. Outside the resort, you can take a bus (we took 701) which is only 20-25 mins away from down town and other amazing beaches like Maestralli beach, a must visit!
This resort is great, it offers everything we needed, we felt very well looked after. Truly inclusive place so if you're part of LGBT community, you're fine!
But quite far from the road. It takes about 10 minutes to reach the hotel room. Beaches are also far away. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Landa Beach. It is also far from the center of Ayanapa. The harbor is far away. If you just want to stay in a hotel, that's fine, but if you want to see Ayia Napa and don't want to spend a lot of time walking or taking a bus, then this is not the hotel for you.
The rooms were very clean and well equipped.
The gardens were well kept and the pool area was clean and tidy.
The people on the front desk were very polite and helpful with some queries I had regarding local transport.
I would definitely book a stay here again if I was to visit Cyprus.
We were self catering and the apartment is great it has a microwave, 2 hob induction cooker, toaster, kettle, a large and a small pot, frying pan, sieve, plates, bowls cups glasses and cutlery ( ideally an oven would be great every apartment needs one) AND... a complimentary bottle of white wine!!!! ( nice touch 👏) Patio area is a good size with a table and four chairs
BY the entrance to the hotel is an on site shop, it's a bit expensive but it will get u set up to you venture into ayia napa which is a 10min bus journey, when exciting the hotel turn right, cross a road and on up there is a bus stop and it's bus 101 heading into town and bus 102 coming back out again and the bus stops just below makronisos village and costs €1.50 euro each, each way then at night the bus runs to 4am and it's €2.50 each.
The hotel pool is great, it starts at 0.55 metres which is knee depth and even the deep end I could stand up in and I'm short!
Always a bed too and no1 down placing towels down 1st thing, all very relaxed!
Beside the sun beds there's a drinking tap on the wall, we filled bottles at night and kept them in fridge and the water was absolutely fine!
The pub area is great and we ate a good few times and food was always nice! Massive shout out to Louise who was brilliant with everyone and so friendly and welcoming she's a real asset to the village!
I can honestly say makronisos village is by far one of the most relaxing, modern apartments, easy access to main strip by bus we have ever stayed in and we will be back for definite !
Our flight was late at night and we asked the day before about keeping the apartment on and the lovely lady at reception said yes and I asked how much she said free... I have never been anywhere that didn't charge what a lovely touch!
Ps... We befriended a wee cat when there and I hope someone else has looked after her when we left!
