Makronisos Village

Nice quiet collection of bungalows and apartments set out on a large plot. Very nice freshwater pool with a poolside bar, and restaurant. Good position to get into Ayia Napa. On site supermarket.

Visited here at the end of May 2024.
The rooms were very clean and well equipped.
The gardens were well kept and the pool area was clean and tidy.
The people on the front desk were very polite and helpful with some queries I had regarding local transport.
I would definitely book a stay here again if I was to visit Cyprus.

Arrived in makronisos village around 7pm, met by a lovely Scottish lady on reception who gave us a map to find our apartment no 704, the place is massive and so clean and well kept! We found our apartment and it was beautiful and so modern!
We were self catering and the apartment is great it has a microwave, 2 hob induction cooker, toaster, kettle, a large and a small pot, frying pan, sieve, plates, bowls cups glasses and cutlery ( ideally an oven would be great every apartment needs one) AND... a complimentary bottle of white wine!!!! ( nice touch 👏) Patio area is a good size with a table and four chairs
BY the entrance to the hotel is an on site shop, it's a bit expensive but it will get u set up to you venture into ayia napa which is a 10min bus journey, when exciting the hotel turn right, cross a road and on up there is a bus stop and it's bus 101 heading into town and bus 102 coming back out again and the bus stops just below makronisos village and costs €1.50 euro each, each way then at night the bus runs to 4am and it's €2.50 each.
The hotel pool is great, it starts at 0.55 metres which is knee depth and even the deep end I could stand up in and I'm short!
Always a bed too and no1 down placing towels down 1st thing, all very relaxed!
Beside the sun beds there's a drinking tap on the wall, we filled bottles at night and kept them in fridge and the water was absolutely fine!
The pub area is great and we ate a good few times and food was always nice! Massive shout out to Louise who was brilliant with everyone and so friendly and welcoming she's a real asset to the village!
I can honestly say makronisos village is by far one of the most relaxing, modern apartments, easy access to main strip by bus we have ever stayed in and we will be back for definite !
Our flight was late at night and we asked the day before about keeping the apartment on and the lovely lady at reception said yes and I asked how much she said free... I have never been anywhere that didn't charge what a lovely touch!

Ps... We befriended a wee cat when there and I hope someone else has looked after her when we left!

Last minute October half-term break, self catering with a car to get around. I'm more than happy with this location, The rooms are modern looking and have undergone a revamp, I expected the usual tired self-catering accommodation but it's quite modern and the air-conditioning works well. Everywhere is super tidy, the staff are friendly, it's not busy this time of year so it's perfect for a relaxing escape. We only did limited cooking, scrambled eggs, toast, cereal and tea/coffee giving us flexibility to eat at the beach and at the many restaurants. There is a mini mart at the entrance which is open until at least 11 at night and has a cash-machine. The beach is less than 10 minutes walk and really nice (go to the municipal beach €2.50 a lounger) or catch the bus from the stop 2 mins walk from entrance, it's €5 for an all-day travel card or €2.50/0.75 adult/child single and they run every 15mins. Great bar staff and pool, it's €4 a pint of local beer and happy hour 4-6 cocktails are €3.50. overall really good value and I would be happy to come back

A great place to chill if you are happy to be on the outside of Anya napa. Local bus stops are only 5 minutes away. Day tickets or a weekly ticket are best if running into town. Taxis are around €15 each way. Each villa has air con and fans and they are not restricted to temperature. Rooms come with a kettle and toaster. Two ring hob and fridge. Room towels as well, not for the pool used. Showers are best in the afternoon if you would like hot/warm water. Food at the village is not too bad, Bar meals are large and could feed two people and not badly price. Buffet meals are to the standard 3* food.. drinks are not too bad in price for soft and local beer. The pool has plenty of sunbeds and no need to place a towel to save one as some people like to for the day and never use it. Main pool max 1.4 m to 0.3. There is a baby, toddler pool as well. The staff are friendly and helpful. The local beach is a 15 minute walk away and not busy, soft sand and a gem. Water sports are there as well. During windy days all water sports stop for safety. Booking is not necessary. Beach bed and parasol are a couple of euros each and worth it.

A very nice hotel which is a little bit different from the traditional concept. You live in small houses inside of which it looks like a regular hotel room. Hotel rooms also have kitchen and fridge which is a nice bonus. My room was clean and well kept with no defects and good working AC. The whole resort area looks very nice with local vibes. Lady at the reception was really polite. If you don't mind being 10-15 min walking distance from the beach definitely consider this hotel because you only pay fragment of the price compared to other hotels and you have a small shop in the hotel area at the entrance to buy whatever.

Booked this hotel last minute, and it was not what I was expecting. Small individual houses. Affortable . Clean rooms with small kitchen area to cook if you are visiting for more than few days ....awesome size swimming pool. Breakfast is nothing special, to be honest, if you are expecting a rich buffet but it is basic. Big parking area and location is good a quiet. I'm definitely visiting again and highly recommended .

Lovely clean complex. We had a one bedroom suite for a family of 4, it was very comfortable and plenty of room. The decor was modern and it was cleaned every day. The pool area as well was well maintained and immaculate. My only comment would be that some form of day and evening entertainment would be good, especially to get the kids involved. Maybe because we went at the end of May there was less on.
