Reviews
Just an absolute joy to be here. Staff are great and the pool bar makes great cocktails.
Food is worth staying in: fresh and the seasoning is spot on.
Book with confidence and join the fun!
Whilst the location and decor are nice, we will never be going back here again to use the bar area which was run terribly. I cannot comment about the rooms as I was not a staying guest. Very bad service here, my recommendation would be to use the Radisson Blu roof bar instead which is much much better.
Additionally, there was an alarm at 8 AM which no allow you to sleep because it is so loud. I guess the hotel expect us all to wake up at 8 AM for mysterious reason. It continues for more than 30 minutes. Imagine…
Moving on, I'm not sure how the Cyprus hotel rating system works, but while this hotel claims to be a 5 stars hotel, I've stayed in better 4 starts hotel in Cyprus. This hotel has no indoor pool, just one very shallow outdoor pool, no kids club, no entertainment for either kids or adults.
The rooms themselves, while generally well designed and specious, suffer from the same issue a lot of "modern" hotels do with to ability to lock, or even properly seal the bathroom from the rest of the room. I still don't understand why that's a "thing" now.
We were surprised to find out that the hotel also serves buffet lunch and dinner, as their website doesn't mention it, nor does it offer half-board or full-board packages. For 30EUR per person we decided to take a look first. The selection was rather small, not particularly appealing, and as for gluten free food some of us need, the chef didn't offer any option other then whatever was naturally gluten free already on display. Instead, we opted out and went to the Dine-Out Express across the street for some authentic Greek food for a third of the price.
The room price we paid was also way too high for what we got, but to be fair, we did made a last minute booking as stranded passengers in Larnaca.
One evening, when we sat at the lobby area with our own wine bottle, we were told off by the staff that we could only consume wine bought from the hotel. I think I paid a high enough rate for the room that would include the use of the lobby area even without providing additional revenue to the hotel.
Now for what was good:
Breakfast was really good, with a large verity of items, and omelette station, fried Haloumi, and a-la-cart coffee service for requests that the coffee machine couldn't fulfill, like ice coffee or a cappuccino with non-standard milk. There is also a small Gluten Free pastries corner.
The staff was super nice. They also helped us get a big taxi when we were at the mall and we're unable to find one ourselves (apparently, getting a taxi in Larnaca is not always a breeze).
