Aktea Beach Village

The rooms are enough, with a balcony (not much of a view), TV and basic facilities like a mini fridge and small cooker. The food is buffet style, but is unfortunately a hit or a miss. Some of the breakfast options are heavily processed, but the lunch and dinner are fine - plenty of options and different cuisines everyday, nice desserts, but things like pork chops were 70% fat, and things like green beans were unnecessarily salty. The outdoor pool is good, and the gym has all you need except from proper extensions. Instead of a rope extension, there is an actual rope tied to the end of a cable stack, which is uncomfortable to use, and plates are hard to find, and the dumbbells having no weight labels. There's a laundry room but it's 4 euro for the washer and 2 for the dryer. You can't iron your clothes anywhere either. The indoor pool is only open during winter, even when there is thunder and lightning during the summer. There is only one of each key for the rooms so if you happen to leave it in the room (needs to be in a slot for electricity), you have to go get the master key (anyone could unlock your room with the master key). Room cleaning also comes in at 10 AM, so if you're still asleep or sorting things, they will just let themselves into the room (no labels on door handles to tell them not to come in). And the reception staff is rude and ignorant. While we were having a medical emergency, the staff was slow to respond and we were left waiting for 45 minutes for them to call medical assistance. Overall, it's the minimal experience you could expect from a hotel.
