Reviews
The housekeeping manager did apologize and took immediate action by offering to replace everything in the room, along with a small gift. While I appreciate the gesture, I found it unacceptable to experience such an issue in a luxury hotel. Furthermore, I had also reserved a second room for my parents on a different floor, and they experienced a similar problem with stray hair. Though they chose not to raise the issue, it reflects a concerning lapse in housekeeping standards.
On a positive note, the breakfast selection was excellent, offering a wide variety of quality options. However, I sincerely hope that the hotel addresses this issue, as cleanliness is fundamental to maintaining the reputation of a five-star establishment. I expect better attention to detail in the future.
We booked a premium room with a sofa bed which was great for a family of 4. The room was clean and large and had a huge bathroom with a bath tub.
We booked directly and chose the option that included parking and breakfast. Parking is onsite in a basement no worked well.
Breakfast was great with lots of fresh options to suit all tastes.
Service was good.
To note there is a pool and spa but this is with an extra charge. We were given free access as we have loyalty membership but others in front were charged 10 euros each entrance
First, the room had a double bed, which is meant for a couple, but we were provided with two tiny individual blankets. This didn’t make sense, and we had to request a larger blanket, which they referred to as a “honeymoon blanket.” While this was handled, it felt like an unnecessary step.
Another major issue we had was with the use of the pool. When booking through the booking website, it was clearly mentioned that there was a pool available, but there was no mention of any additional charges. When we arrived, we were told it would cost €10 to use the pool or €20 for access to both the spa and the pool. This was frustrating because it’s unreasonable to charge extra for a pool when guests have already paid for their stay, especially when it’s not clearly stated upfront. We specifically chose this hotel because of the pool, and having to pay extra for it was a big letdown.
In summary, while the hotel and room were nice, these issues detracted from what could have been a much better experience.
The positives: the breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of options that were both fresh and delicious. The hotel’s location is also fantastic, making it easy to explore the nearby attractions and get around the city.
However, the rooms felt a bit dated, lacking the modern design and luxury you’d expect from a five-star hotel. Additionally, the amenities were quite limited, with very few extras that would elevate the stay to a truly high-end experience.
Overall, it’s a decent hotel with some standout features, but it doesn’t quite live up to a five-star standard.
I found all the staff to be kind and courteous and nothing was too much trouble.
I gave 3 stars for the location as I have young children but this should not detract from the hotel. It's close to some nice restaurants and the Zoo.
Since most of the things that we did were a bit farther from the hotel, we just took Bolts everywhere and it was fine. Berlin is quite a large city, much bigger than I had thought. Regardless, our stay was amazing.
Overall, one of the best stays I've ever had! If I ever get the chance to visit Berlin again, I know I would love to stay here!
The conference facilities were outstanding, with well-equipped meeting rooms and excellent catering services. The staff was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to meet our needs.
Overall, the InterContinental Berlin provided a seamless and productive environment for my business trip. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Berlin for business.
