Riu Plaza Berlin

Such a great hotel in a great location.
The room that i had , it was amazing. The breakfast was nice but had a lack of pluralism.
The reception desk team was the highlight cause everyone were so helpful any time.
The restaurant staff was quite unhappy and not so smiley.

I loved this hotel on my first stay. Excellent service and amazing location.

My second booking was somewhat different. I booked two nights directly through the website. A few days later I had to add an extra night but couldn't do this through the website so had to use booking.com instead. A few days before my stay (and well within the cancellation period) my plans changed and I could not fulfil the booking. They cancelled the two nights booked directly but refused to cancel the booking.com reservation, therefore I had to bear the €150 cancellation cost.

I'm a regular business traveller to Berlin and would have loved to stay at this hotel for the next few years, but the inflexibility shown here has encouraged me to find a new place. An organisation who values €150 now (for offering no service) over years of business and recommendations is incredibly short sighted in my opinion.

I note the response from the hotel appears to be automated and doesn't in any way address the issue I have raised. Anyways, I have found a superior place in Berlin for my future bookings.

To end on a high note, it is a lovely hotel. I would just ask that Riu show more understanding for the circumstances of those who stay with them

The location of this hotel is very good: subway is just a 5 min walk. The room was clean and the breakfast was amazing! You have to try the pancakes they make. The staff was very nice, especially Alejandro who always solved all the doubts we had. The gym is also nice.

This is a centrally located hotel in Berlin. Friendly and helpful staff and very good breakfast buffet. Everything was well maintained, comfortably airconditioned (important in July) and clean and the room was nice and quite. If you get a room with 2 beds note that the beds are not that large. Also, be careful about advanced payments. I paid in advance via a booking site but had to pay again at the hotel. It then took one month and several calls to get the amount refunded.

Throughout my stay, the service was consistently excellent. The staff were always available to assist with any requests and provided valuable recommendations for local dining and entertainment.

The hotel was really nice. We only stayed here 1 night. The room was very spacious…suite for 4. Rooms were clean and had ac which is nice for the summer. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Buffet breakfast is like it is anywhere else. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located close to bus, metro and tram stop, most of the attractions are by public transportation, but a lot of restaurant and shop options are really close by, the breakfast is very good, plenty and tasteful, amazing beds, big room, clean and luxury bathroom, the staff is super helpful too. If you arrive by train is very short distance by the bus. Amazing view from the bedroom.
