NH Berlin Kurfurstendamm

I’ve stayed in several NH hotels before especially in Italy and was blown away by the service, hotel, amenities etc. however, this was not the case for this hotel. Firstly, to access the block our hotel was in we had to walk through a carpark and outside some of which wasn’t covered. The floor in the carpark was washed daily and was slippy. The next issue was with the service. On our first day we used the tea cups in our room and when our room was cleaned the dirty ones were left outside the room door but were not replaced. When we rang reception they said we needed to come down and get new ones ourselves (every other hotel I’ve ever stayed in would deliver to the room). We went to reception to get said tea cups only to be told we couldn’t get them from reception and had to go to the breakfast section which was in another part of the hotel to get the cups. Another issue we faced was with our key cards which had to be reissued several times a day as we would get to our rooms and they wouldn’t work. This was also the case for my family who also stayed in the hotel. The keycards were not near a phone or any other magnetic devices as insinuated by hotel staff. Thankfully, there was no construction noise for the whole trip which I was worried about from previous reviews. The noise from the train can sometimes be noisy but it never kept me up. Overall, the hotel room was lovely, the lobby sitting area was nice but the hotel lacked a restaurant, adequate reservicing of water, teabags, tea cups etc to the room. I also found that value for money was not great. I booked a room for three people and was given a classic room with a fold out bed as the third bed.
