Holiday Inn Express Duesseldorf City Nord, an IHG Hotel

I stayed here with my friends, a group of four. We booked a room with a double bed and sleeping couch. The space in the room was a bit cramped of course since we were four women staying in the same room, logically. However we were staying for two nights so we couldn’t really complain, all we need the room for is to sleep and rest. I generally don’t care too much about dust and cleanliness of the rooms unless there are obvious bed bugs or other problems. There was a bit of mold on the windows and the WiFi was horrible. Especially if you’re sleeping on the couch (which is prepared as a bed), it’s in the back of the room which makes sense in a way, but if you offer rooms for four people I’d suggest making sure that WiFi works all around the room, I unfortunately did not have unlimited data so I had a lot of problems with this. The breakfast was pretty much your average breakfast buffet at any hotel, it’s not very luxurious and didn’t have many options. The staff at the hotel are extremely helpful and friendly, don’t hesitate to ask them for any requests. The hotel itself is located a bit far from the central city, we either took the car into the city or used the electric scooters, it’s a fun experience so I do recommend it. Buy the ticket passes on the lime app, they’re quite cheap and you’ll last with an hour. For housekeeping you also have a card in the room that you can hang in front of the door whenever you feel like getting the room cleaned and bedsheets switched out. Overall we had a decent time.
