A hub is a distributor, and that's where the name of our hotel comes from: our Holiday Inn the niu, Hub Dusseldorf Messe is located near Germany's largest intersection, the so-called Mörsenbroicher Ei. Spanning 1.2 hectares, this vibrant hub is a key connection point, allowing you to reach the city, the trade fair, the B1, B7, and B8 with ease. The airport is only two kilometers away in the other direction.The appealing hotel design picks up on clear shapes and lines and contrasts calm gray with colorful elements. We are happy to welcome you to the open lobby. The reception is open throughout the day and also offers snacks. In the morning, an extensive breakfast buffet is served so that you can go on a tour of discovery in Dusseldorf well-refreshed. Throughout the hotel and in the rooms of course you can use the high-speed Internet connection via WiFi free of charge. If you are traveling to the city by train simply leave your car in the hotel parking lot or the underground garage.You can expect the latest technology such as air conditioning, smart TV, and Bluetooth soundbox in all 235 rooms.Some rooms are wheelchair accessible or allergy-friendly. Oh, and the location -- a long walk to the tram, and definitely in the Middle of Nowhere, unless you're into the Mercedes-Benz factory.
Check-in was chaos, very inexperienced, surly staff. Plus they are checking in for the Comfort hotel too.
Room is modern- large tv, Bluetooth speakers, nice bathroom and air con.
No wardrobe or place to put bags (except floor). Light switches are a joke. There’s no tea, coffee, kettle in the room.
Tile floor so noise from rooms above.
No evening restaurant, it’s oven Pizza at the bar only.
Bar is staffed by one person. If someone orders a pizza, they have to walk to a store room get one then come back and cook it in the oven behind the bar. Next person orders a pizza (there’s nothing else) same thing. No wonder there’s a big queue.
There is an over priced snack shop in the lobby.
Location- there is nothing nearby. Nearest restaurant is 25mins walk.
Breakfast is decent.
If you are using it for the airport, use the HIE instead.
I’m never staying in one of these again!
It is outside city centre and it would be perfect only if you have a car. Otherwise as other guests mentioned , it would be difficult to get around otherwise you needa rely on taxi. It s 10 min by taxi to trade fair. The closest supermarket is 10 min walk away. And the next restaurant is 15 min Walking distance. Luckily the hotel has a mini market and restaurant bar which provide pizza and french frei etc. at an inexpensive price.
On the positive side, the room was clean, and the beds and towels were fresh. There’s a spacious parking area, but it comes with a €15 fee. Breakfast was good, although the selection of hot dishes was limited.
