Breakfast hall was really beautiful with big glass windows; breakfast was good but sometimes if you reach in the last hour the bread basket will be empty :-(. 1 euro extra is charged for the breakfast drinks

the wide availability landscape is phenomenal, close to the castles of emperor Maximilian I, the town is also ideal for simple walks

The staff were good, helpful and friendly. Location is the best with river Lech and few minutes walk to old city and Lech water fall

We arrived before midnight, 11:30 pm, because of our trip from the Netherlands to Italy. Very nice hotel and clean rooms. But most important: the hospitality is very, very nice

Room was big enough with free wlan, fridge and good washroom, but the TV channels were not clear enough to watch. The connection or signals from cable to TV was not smooth

The guy that checked us in is very kind and he was very interested in us as visitors

This was the only hotel where the service at the reception was very bad!!! He was not friendly or helpful. I asked for help getting to the Zugspitz he looked at me like I was asking a crazy question

Additionally, they didn't tell me about the sauna area at all at check in, I just figured it out by myself afterwards. However, the location, and the cost of this place was pretty good

The room also did get quite hot, so I had to have my window open, but since it was a large window with access to the balcony, I was a bit concerned about safety as a single female traveler

They have a luggage storage area, but anybody can walk in and grab things, which I thought was a bit unsafe. Also, while the first receptionist was really nice, the 2nd receptionist was quite rude

I'm not sure if I would call this a 4 star hotel - maybe a 3 star? The bathroom looked pretty old, and they literally gave me just 1 set of towels

When we return to this part of Germany (which we will), this is where we’ll be staying. If you happen to be here during apple season (we were there in early Sept), be sure to try them

The rooms are very good, the TV is big, the bathroom is huge. The floor has hard tiles and not carpet so it is cleaner. Extra blankets are in the closet so you don't even have to ask

Some Best Western hotels in the US can be a bit lack-luster and mediocre in quality. This Best Western is well above and beyond that benchmark

The staff is very friendly and welcoming (and speak much better English than I do German), the rooms are clean and spacious, and the breakfast is fantastic! The hotel is well located (just a short walk from downtown Fuessen), has its own underground parking garage and even has a gym and sauna

We could get free parking on the street as space available allows but I opted for the parking garage for €9 per night. We decided to eat in the hotel restaurant for dinner. Review forthcoming separately

Beautiful hotel with great service. The breakfast buffet has a chocolate fountain and champagne! The variety is more like a cruise ship breakfast. My room is large, comfortable and the A/C works like magic

The rooms were very nice with wooden decor and baths and balconies, the beds were comfortable, the staff were very helpful, and the breakfasts were amazing and in an atmospheric dining room

The location is walking distance to many shops and restaurants since it’s centrally located in the town. So glad we made this choice!

I stayed here 3 summers ago, amazing location, great staff, memorable BMW drive, great spa area and never felt so at peace, I’ve traveled to 30+ countries and stayed in many places this and the Chateau in Quebec City are my favorite places I’ve stayed, this is pure Bavaria very much recommended for a cultural experience and relaxation

All the things from a traditional alpine house. The wellness looked like it was built a week before, so clean and zen. The jacuzzi was enormous and can easily hold 8 people

Parking is very convenient in front of the door. The rooms are very nice and clean, equipped with comfortable beds. Overall: can't find a beter hotel in the whole region

Abundant breakfast - long breakfast time. Hotel is located on top of a mountain, due to restricted mobility the car always had to be taken but it was not a problem for us. Room service was made on request

The room we had was getting a bit old and the green carpet in the hallway is no longer up-to-date. I think the price for the room is a bit too high. The swimming pool in the hotel is spacious and clean

Super! Impressions darkness. Sorry got a room with a view of the yard (but two). But the scenery of the lake and mountains was able to enjoy a luxurious champagne Breakfast.

Great experience! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and very clean. Dinner was excellent. It is 13 minutes from Neuschwanstein castle.

In the area, a beautiful lake, and the interesting town of füssen. Here is near on trips to the mountains and to visit the local surrounding castles of Louis II

It is also close to Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the highest peak of Germany Zugspitze (although I recommend, got him from the Austrian side

I had a pain relief massage. It was very helpful and wish I was in the region long enough for a full course.

The food was excellent, but unfortunately the staff in the restaurant seemed overwhelmed with the shift work, and we found the dinners there to be rather uncomfortable feedings

The rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is well kept, and clean. You have access to a sauna and wading pool 24 hours. There is free access to washing/drying machines for clothing. Honestly, this place is great

:D BTW, sport hall is located directly near sauna. You have to be really in good condition to use it

You have a small kitchen, and everything you need to maintain for yourself. You are provided with starter kit, but just like an apartment, you are expected to get your own stuff after that

Rooms are good, and view is outstanding! But there is was only one little soap for two peoples for 3 days. I was waiting for some better service for such money. But who need soap, when you have this view

We were there with two kids and it was a great experience for everyone. You can easily walk to the lake and the natural swimming pool at the guest house is just amazing. Restaurants can also be easily reached on foot

The lake is also not far, for those who prefer to spend their time there. Although there is not really much staff, this is completely sincere, and competent. I'm definitely not the only one who has the same opinion

What a beautiful hotel. The owner, Peter the Boss, was very charming. Rooms were adequately spacious and breakfast was delicious too. Easy access to lake and shops around. Will go back if I travel to that area.

Beautiful and comfortable rooms. From rooms 5a and 6a, in the second house, a beautiful panorama opens up, probably the best in this hotel. Stock up on a bottle of wine for dinner and coffee in the morning

Helmerhof was perfect for our stay, the free bike hire an added bonus. Neushwanstein Castle being just 10 mins ride away. Plenty paths for walking, biking and lakes/rivers for swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding

It did get warm, but we were able to get fresh air by opening the door to the balcony. We dined in the restaurant and since had early time, it was very private with a view of the patio and snow

The hotel is located about 10-15 minutes walk from the town center and train station. I just walked it as the weather was nice but taking the bus or a taxi would be sensible in bad weather or if you have a lot of luggage

Really a good place where to stay to visit the Bavarian castles. The family room was clean and huge. We got the half board service and the dinner gave us the possibility to taste some typical dishes and healthy food

The Hotel was very nice with an extensive Breakfast. The centre of Füssen is within walking distance. Unfortunately the hotel Wi-Fi currently only works in the entrance area of what is expected to change soon

Parking is free and sauna only 3€/person. Great place to stay if you are in the area to visit the castle. They provide discounts to the tours!

Amazing!!! Great food and entertainment with walking distance to everything in downtown Fussen. Very clean and no reason to stay anywhere else ! The balcony peacefully overlooks a beautiful meadow.. this place is bliss

Came in and an elderly man greeted us. Told us everyone had gone and asked our names. He handed us our room key and said not to worry about paperwork and the usual until next day and welcomed us to the hotel

The hotel is warm, friendly and has an old style feel to it. Its beautiful inside and has a real homely feel to it. The rooms are clean and well facilitated. I would really recommend this place

A well tended trail started on a few meters from the end of the hotel property. For anyone wishing to avoid driving in Fussen, there is an easy walking path directly to the old town center

Rooms were fine, don't expect an American hotel here because you're NOT in America. Setting was calm and relaxing, great place to walk and relax after long days of touring
