I loved ibis Koeln messe. It was so nice we almost extending our stay. It had a home feel and was just so peaceful. Breakfast was amazing. Loved everything about the hotel. The best ibis I have stayed.

Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had booked for day use (10am-5pm) rather than overnight. My room wasn’t ready for my check in so they let have the room until 6pm instead which was great.

The hotel is quite close to the airport - 20 min drive, spacious lobby, WiFi worked well, also reception informed us about free shuttle bus to the Xmas markets which made our life 10 times easier. So in overall, it did the job.
However these are the points to improve possibly :
- bedhead was dirty and full of dust
- sink in the shower hasn’t been cleaned for the past year, least to say, it wouldn’t let the water through and once we took the plug to get rid of the water , it smelled like DEATH, please clean it , it’s so unhygienic
- shower gel bottle had 1/4 of the volume only, so clearly wasn’t refilled before our arrival which makes me question if anyone actually cleaned the shower. Because if someone went in then they would see that. We brought our own stuff to take shower with but I think would be nicer to have that full
- only 2 towels for 2 people, so you are expected to dry you face and others parts of the body with the same towel. Not even one hand towel to share.
- one of the ceiling lamps was hanging for dear life on the wall above the tv, so would be nice to have it fixed to avoid potential hazard.

Located close to the tram and really nice breakfast.

Stayed here for one night as a stopover before onward journey. About a 15 minute walk from the nearest train station, which was okay. Staff fine on check in. Room was comfortable and good air con, simple but did the job well. Breakfast was nice, a good selection. Would stay again.

Bogus and worthless place. Not even a single amenity is provided in the room. Not even a glass forget about a kettle or teabags. Bathroom basin smells bad when water flows. They really need to upgrade the bathroom area. The duvet had stains. Cafe food is bad- looks like they buy it from Lidl and just microwave it for the guests. The only good thing was the helpful and kind staff.

Rooms weren't cleaned properly or early during the day. No coffee corner. No fridge.

Very clean IBIS hotel, relatively close to the downtown of the city - a nice walk - with a safe parking place. The COVID measures are in place as well. The hotel's staff been very supportive so for sure I'll stay here next time.
