A clean modern room, although room size is too small for my liking. Street noises can clearly be heard when we are sleeping. Room is considered extremely close to the central station and adjoining train stations, so getting around is convenient.

We were in Munich for octoberfest and Hotel Am Sedlinger Tor was great. The staff was very helpful and kind. Our room was great and just what we needed. It was clean and housekeeping was available whenever we needed it. The location was perfect because you can get around to any point of Munich easily by foot. Uber was available for quick trips as well when we needed it.

A very budget hotel. Tiny room with a tiny tiny bathroom. Good shower but drainage was very slow. No space for suitcases. Pretty good value during Oktoberfest. The really important thing to know is there are no elevators and some rooms are up three floors of stairs. If you can handle carrying your bags up and don't mind the climb at the end of the day it's a great hotel. Room was spotless and had daily cleaning.

Stayed here on a recent trip to go to the Christmas markets and it was perfect for what my family and I needed. The rooms are affordable and the breakfast is absolutely worth the €12. It is a close walk to the nearby train station which drops you off right in the middle of the city for the markets. Convenient check in and out experience.

It was obvious that they didn’t clean the toilet bowl. We could see some orange stain at the bottom of the bowl. There was also awful pee smell in the bathroom. The breakfast was nice. Elevator was broken and water was spread around emergency staircase (I do not know the reasons why.... ). I think hotel facility is a bit older, even if IBIS is budget hotel brand in ACCOR.

2 min walk to Nordfriedhof U-Bahn station entrance. Also the Lufthansa Express Bus, has a stop outside the U-Bahn station, which is a lot quicker journey to/from the airport than taking a train.

What I needed when going to Munich, was simply a place to stay with my friends for a couple days. We decided to go with Hotel Tessin because of its closeness to the city and the affordable price. Comfortable place to stay close to center of the city, could use an investment into a proper reception.
