Only been here a short time but I’m pretty unhappy about it (this is the quickest into a stay that I’ve written a hotel review). The stay started terribly because the first room that I received had someone in there even though it was listed as unoccupied in their system and on the housekeeper’s sheet that I saw. Several context clues I saw suggests the person was there for illicit reasons.

The staff service is very hit or miss, and in general the rooms are very bare. The desk and chairs are pretty terrible and uncomfortable (see pics).

Edited: Changed my opinion on the staff, half are good and half are very unhelpful. My first room (that I had to change due to the occupant) had a desk that my new room doesn't, I've been asking for a week to get one and I've gotten no help.

PS - Some of the thermostats in the rooms are reversed, after a couple cold nights I realized that I had to set my thermostat to a low temperature in order to warm up my room. I only found out because another person staying at the hotel told me.

I really don’t know where the stars ran to for this hotel. It’s supposed to be a 4* hotel? Let me share my experiences there.. firstly, there’s no hotel reception. The bartender is your receptionist. The lift is tiny and slow and fits only 5 adults or less if they’re dragging luggages. Be prepared to wait an eternity if there’re many checking in at the same time. Room? See my video and judge for yourself. My A/C wasn’t even working. Only the fan was blowing. The hotel staff gave me some stupid story that that’s only a ventilator not an AC so it’s like that. Can you believe that? I couldn’t be bothered to argue with him so I let it go and just opened the windows for ventilation. Sure it’s a 4* so there must be a gym right? See my video on the gym too. It’s the tiniest and barest gym I’ve seen in my life. Now, enough of that stress. After all we are only there to sleep for one night. Let’s go down for a drink and chill. So, we ordered a Mimosa, an espresso, a Latte, Nachos & 2 soup of the day (which we were told it’s French onion Soup without the cheese). Sure we would love to have some clear French onion soup albeit no cheese. We had our
drinks within 10 minutes. The coffee and Mimosa were decent. Tick Tock. Time goes by.. 20min have passed. We went to the counter to ask where’s the soup and nachos?? He said he’ll check. We waited another 10min.. nothing.. so we asked the receptionist again. Again he turned around and asked the other bartender and the other staff just SHRUGGED as a reply. We don’t understand German but we are intelligent enough to understand body languages. So, 10 minutes later we told them if our orders don’t get served on the next 5min we will cancel the orders. POP came the food in a jiffy. The taste was so so.. and the soup… it seems like the staff don’t know the difference between potatoes and French onions? We were served Cream of Potatoes.. what happened to French Onion Soup? 🙄
Breakfast.. the spread was ok (which earned them the star from me. Be sure to run down before 730am if you want food. By 8am, everything is emptied and they’re not topped up. Honestly I’ve never been to a lousier 4* hotel in my life.
